His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani Monday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Farhan bin Abdullah al-Saud.
The two sides touched on bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them. They also discussed developments in the region, particularly those related to the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and efforts aimed at de-escalation to enhance security and stability in the region.
The prime minister stressed the need for all parties to engage with the ongoing mediation efforts in a way that paves the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis via dialogue and peaceful means, through to reaching a sustainable agreement that prevents re-ignition of the crisis.
The prime minister also received a phone call from Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelaaty.
