He noted that comprehensive reforms, including modernised labour legislation and advanced inspection systems, have been implemented to promote flexibility, fairness, compliance, and sustainable working conditions, particularly in the areas of occupational safety and health.The minister also emphasised the alignment between Qatar's experience in social protection and decent work with Portugal's policies.He stressed that collaboration between the two nations represents a forward-looking model that balances economic efficiency with social equity. Attention was drawn to the memorandum of understanding between the Ministries of Labour in Qatar and Portugal, which provides a framework for technical co-operation, joint training programmes, and the development of digital initiatives in labour inspection and workplace safety. The agreement further supports collaboration on social protection, youth engagement, and women's empowerment.

Qatar and Kuwait have held talks aimed at boosting media collaboration between the two countries. His Excellency CEO of Qatar Media Corp Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim al-Thani met with Minister Plenipotentiary and Charge d'Affaires of the Kuwaiti embassy in Doha, Mohammad Fahad al-Zoubi, in a meeting focused on enhancing bilateral media ties.During the discussions, the officials explored ways to exchange expertise, coordinate media initiatives, and promote joint efforts that reflect the close relationship between the two Gulf states. Both sides emphasized the importance of media co-operation in supporting broader regional and Gulf unity.

His Excellency the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi, met Tuesday with the visiting Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Dr Tarek Mitri. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a written message from President of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah pertaining to bilateral relations and ways to bolster them. Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty held talks in Cairo with his Austrian counterpart Beate Meinl-Reisinger, focusing on regional developments — particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip — as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.During the discussions, Minister Abdelatty emphasized the importance of fully implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and of initiating early recovery and reconstruction efforts.He also stressed the need to ensure the unimpeded delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip to meet the urgent needs of its population.In this context, Abdelatty expressed hope that Austria would actively participate in the upcoming international conference on early recovery, reconstruction, and development in Gaza, to be hosted by Egypt later this month, in a way that meaningfully supports the Palestinian people.Regarding bilateral relations, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to enhancing all aspects of cooperation with Austria and to strengthening coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud discussed bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest with French President Emmanuel Macron in a phone call on Monday. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the discussions also touched on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and ongoing efforts to end the war and enhance security and stability in the Middle East. Both sides underlined the importance of immediately alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people, ensuring a complete Israeli withdrawal, and taking practical steps toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed in a phone call on Saturday with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, bilateral relations and regional and international developments. According to Iranian news agency (IRNA), the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in Gaza, in light of the understanding reached to bring an end to the genocide. During the phone call, Araghchi expressed his deep concern over the blatant violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli entity in recent days, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Palestinians. He emphasized the responsibility of the ceasefire guarantors and the entire international community to prevent the continuation of Israeli killings and crimes. During the phone call, the Egyptian side was also briefed on Iran's perspective regarding the nuclear issue.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met in Washington with his Liberian counterpart Sara Beysolow Nyanti to discuss deepening US-Liberia bilateral relations and expanding US commercial engagement in Liberia.  In a statement, the US State Department said that Rubio and Nyanti explored avenues for expanding US participation in Liberia's critical minerals sector with the aim of creating jobs and economic growth in both the United States and Liberia.
