Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi received His Excellency Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani and his accompanying delegation at Muscat International Airport Tuesday, at the start of an official working visit to Oman.
The visit comes as Doha and Muscat — two Gulf capitals that have long favoured quiet diplomacy over confrontation — look to deepen a partnership that has steadily gained weight amid a turbulent regional landscape. Both have carved out reputations as careful mediators, and their alignment on questions of de-escalation and dialogue has lent their co-operation a significance beyond the bilateral.
The visit reflects the close fraternal ties between Oman and Qatar and aims to strengthen co-operation and co-ordination across a range of areas of mutual interest.
