His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani held talks Friday with Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, at the Burgenstock Resort in Switzerland.

 

They discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen co-operation, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting security and stability in the region, following a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran.

 

HE Sheikh Mohammed affirmed Doha's support for launching negotiations between the US and Iran to reach sustainable solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means.

 

He added such efforts would enhance regional security, open new horizons for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and serve the common interests of peoples in the region and the world.
