His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met at his office in Lusail Palace Tuesday morning with four ambassadors, who have come to the end of their respective tenures, and five new ambassadors who presented their credentials.The ambassadors of Ethiopia, Ghana, Sweden and Colombia called on His Highness to greet him at the end of their tenure.HH the Amir awarded the ambassadors the Al Wajbah Decoration in recognition of their contributions to strengthening ties between Qatar and their countries, and wished them success in their future duties and continued progress and prosperity in bilateral relations.The ambassadors expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to HH the Amir and to officials in Qatar for the co-operation extended to them, which contributed to the success of their missions in the country.HH the Amir also received the credentials of five new ambassadors to Qatar at his office at Lusail Palace Tuesday.The envoys were Maldive's Adam Shareef Umar, Republic of Korea's Hong Ji-pyo, Albania's Jeta Kreka, Kazakhstan's Bakhyt Batyrshayev and Malta's Maria Camilleri CallejaHH the Amir welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in their duties, along with further progress in bilateral relations between Qatar and their countries.The ambassadors conveyed to HH the Amir the greetings of their countries' leaders and their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the people of Qatar.They were accorded an official reception ceremony on arrival at Lusail Palace. 

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi met Monday with Ethiopia’s ambassador to Qatar Faisal Ali Ibrahim, on the occasion of the end of his tenure.  HE Dr al-Hammadi thanked Ibrahim for his efforts in supporting and strengthening bilateral relations, and wished him success in his new duties.  

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi received Sunday a copy of the credentials of Malta’s ambassador to Qatar Maria Camilleri Calleja.  HE Dr al-Hammadi wished Camilleri Calleja success in carrying out her duties, assuring her of full support to advance bilateral relations between Qatar and Malta to foster closer co-operation across various fields.   

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met in his office at the Amiri Diwan Monday morning with Hungarian ambassador Ferenc Korom, who called on His Highness to greet him at the end of his tenure in the country.  HH the Amir granted the Al Wajbah Decoration to the Hungarian Ambassador in recognition of his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Qatar and Hungary, wishing him success in his future missions, and the relations between the two countries further development and progress.  The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation to HH the Amir and the country's officials for the co-operation he received during his tenure, which contributed to the success of his work.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received Sunday a telephone call from British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who expressed his sincere condolences on the demise of His Highness the late Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.HH the Amir expressed his gratitude for the heartfelt sentiments and congratulated the prime minister on assuming office, wishing him success and further development and growth in bilateral relations.Furthermore, discussion during the call, focused on strategic co-operation between the two friendly countries and ways to support and develop it across various fields. His Highness praised the strength of these historical relations, which serve their mutual interests and enhance the existing partnership.The two sides also discussed the latest regional updates, particularly the developments in the Gaza Strip, as well as the diplomatic efforts to reduce escalation and consolidate security in the Middle East region. Both leaders stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and diplomacy to address regional issues and support international efforts aimed at consolidating peace.Meanwhile, HH the Amir received President of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq Dr Faiq Zidan, at his office at Lusail Palace last morning.He extended his condolences to His Highness on the passing of HH the Late Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, praying to Almighty Allah to encompass HH the Late Father Amir with His vast mercy and grant him a place in His spacious Paradise. HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council president for his sincere condolences and kind sympathy. 

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met Saturday with Egypt's Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty, who was visiting Doha.They discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint co-ordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.The prime minister stressed the need for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, to maintain regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and enhance regional stability.He reiterated Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.

The Acting President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ecuador Esteban Torres met on Tuesday with the ambassador of the State of Qatar to the country Fahad Ahmed Jassim al-Hamar. The meeting took place in the capital Quito and focused on exploring ways to strengthen bilateral relations and co-operation between the two nations. 

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani held a phone call with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah al-Saud.They discussed bilateral relations and ways to support them and explored the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.The prime minister stressed the necessity for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, including guaranteeing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in order to maintain regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and enhance regional stability.He reiterated Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.The prime minister also held a telephone conversation with Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi.They discussed ways to deepen and expand bilateral ties as well as the latest regional dynamics particularly the ongoing diplomatic efforts and closer coordination for de-escalation and reinforcing security and stability in the region.The prime minister stressed the importance of all parties committing to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing what had been concurred on in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran. This, His Excellency said, includes freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, respect for the Sultanate of Oman's sovereignty over its territorial waters to safeguard the region's security and the achieved gains, as well as promoting regional stability.He reiterated that Qatar thoroughly backs all endeavours to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive accord that achieves sustainable peace in the region.The PM also held a phone call with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi.They discussed bilateral co-operation and ways to strengthen it, and explored the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.The prime minister expressed Qatar's strongest condemnation of the renewed attacks launched by Iran against the territory of Jordan, considering them a flagrant violation of Jordan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a blatant breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighborliness.He stressed the necessity for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Iran, including guaranteeing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in order to maintain regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and enhance regional stability.The PM reiterated Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region. 

Mauritania’s Prime Minister El Moctar Ould Djay met Qatar’s ambassador Shaheen bin Ali al-Kaabi to discuss bilateral relations between the two nations. The meeting focused on co-operation between Qatar and Mauritania and explored ways to further strengthen ties across areas of mutual interest.  

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met Monday with the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence, Helen McEntee, who is currently visiting the country.  They reviewed ways to support and strengthen bilateral relations and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran.  They also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.  Following the meeting, the prime minister attended the signing ceremony of an MoU establishing political consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries.  The MoU was co-signed by His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi and McEntee.

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met Sunday with visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.  They discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them, particularly in the economic field, along with regional developments and their impact on the global economy and energy markets, as well as several other issues of common interest.  Both sides stressed the importance of resolving disputes and conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic means, which contributes to strengthening security and stability at the regional and international levels.  They agreed to continue enhancing co-operation on a number of priority issues for Qatar and India by activating joint working mechanisms and bilateral committees between the two countries.
