His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met at his office in Lusail Palace Tuesday morning with four ambassadors, who have come to the end of their respective tenures, and five new ambassadors who presented their credentials.
The ambassadors of Ethiopia, Ghana, Sweden and Colombia called on His Highness to greet him at the end of their tenure.
HH the Amir awarded the ambassadors the Al Wajbah Decoration in recognition of their contributions to strengthening ties between Qatar and their countries, and wished them success in their future duties and continued progress and prosperity in bilateral relations.
The ambassadors expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to HH the Amir and to officials in Qatar for the co-operation extended to them, which contributed to the success of their missions in the country.
HH the Amir also received the credentials of five new ambassadors to Qatar at his office at Lusail Palace Tuesday.
The envoys were Maldive's Adam Shareef Umar, Republic of Korea's Hong Ji-pyo, Albania's Jeta Kreka, Kazakhstan's Bakhyt Batyrshayev and Malta's Maria Camilleri Calleja
HH the Amir welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in their duties, along with further progress in bilateral relations between Qatar and their countries.
The ambassadors conveyed to HH the Amir the greetings of their countries' leaders and their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the people of Qatar.
They were accorded an official reception ceremony on arrival at Lusail Palace.
