Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has announced that it won six awards at the 2026 Telly Awards, recognising four media campaigns delivered in a creative, innovative style.
This new achievement reflects the continued development of Qatar Rail’s approach to corporate content creation and its ability to leverage visual and digital communications to raise community awareness, while showcasing the role of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram in supporting an integrated, safe and sustainable public transport system.
In the “People’s Telly” category, Qatar Rail won three awards: two Silver awards for two short films celebrating the return of the Arab Cup 2025 and the Qatar Rail Open Chess Tournament, and a Bronze award in the general category for the Qatar Rail Open Chess Tournament film.
These awards reflect the content’s ability to reach audiences and strengthen engagement with sports and community initiatives and events.
The company also received three Bronze awards in the Social Impact, Social Responsibility, and Sustainability categories for works addressing topics with a human and community dimension, including raising awareness about people with disabilities and accessibility to public transport services, and presenting sustainability concepts in an engaging and simplified way that reflects Qatar Rail’s commitment to supporting Qatar’s efforts to promote a culture of responsible and sustainable mobility.
“We are proud of this global recognition, which reflects the development of Qatar Rail’s corporate communications experience in producing creative, impactful content that resonates with audiences,” Qatar Rail communications and public relations director Abdulla Ali al-Mawlawi said in a statement.
“This achievement is the result of teamwork across our various divisions and partners and reflects our commitment to delivering creative campaigns that raise awareness of the company’s projects and services, support inclusion and sustainability, and highlight the role of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram in providing a reliable and sustainable travel experience for Qatar’s residents and visitors,” he said.
“This achievement builds on Qatar Rail’s growing record of success in corporate communications and public relations, reflecting its ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with the public through diverse initiatives and media campaigns developed in collaboration with partners and relevant stakeholders,” al-Mawlawi continued.
“The continued growth of our various digital platforms over recent years also demonstrates the effectiveness of the company’s strategy and communication approach, and its ability to keep the public continuously informed of the latest developments,” he added.
The awards further reinforce Qatar Rail’s position among leading national entities in corporate communications, following its consecutive “Best Communication Campaign” awards from the Government Communications Office in 2024 and 2025, presented during the Government Communication Forum editions of 2025 and 2026.
The 2024 award recognised Qatar Rail’s AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 media campaign, while the 2025 award honoured its “Back to School” campaign, underscoring two consecutive years of impactful campaigns with broad positive reach.
