Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) reported a net profit of QR2.22bn for the first six months of 2026, representing a 2.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) growth.

Earnings per share in H1 2026 stood at QR0.94 compared to QR0.92 for the same period last year. Total assets reached QR234n, representing a 5.9% growth from QR221bn on December 30, 2025, and up by 10.4% compared to June 30, 2025.

Financing assets amounted to QR156.4bn, registering robust growth of 12.9% compared to December 2025 and up by 19.6% compared to June 2025. Investment securities reached QR60.4bn as of June 30, 2026, up by 0.3% against December 2025 and up by 0.5% compared to June 2025. Customer deposits stood at QR148.3bn in H1 2026, registering a growth of 3.9% compared to December 2025 and up by 9.8% compared to June 2025.

Total income in H1 2026 reached QR5.64bn. Net income from financing and investing activities stood at QR5.08bn in H1 2026. Net fee and commission income reached QR456.2mn, registering a growth of 2.7% compared to the same period in 2025.

Total operating expenses for H1 2026 amounted to QR565.6mn. Efficient cost containment enabled the bank to maintain the cost-to-income ratio at 16.4%, which continues to be the lowest in the Qatari Banking sector.

QIB was able to manage the ratio of non-performing financing assets to total financing assets at 1.49%, one of the lowest in the industry, reflecting the quality of the bank’s financing assets portfolio and its effective risk management framework.

The bank continues to pursue the conservative impairment policy by building a precautionary impairment charge for financing assets, other assets and other provisions and maintaining a healthy coverage ratio for non-performing financing assets to 95.1% as of H1 2026.

Total shareholders’ equity of the bank in H1 2026 stood at QR30.6bn, representing a growth of 3.4% compared to QR29.6bn as of December 31, 2025 and up by 9.0% compared to H1 2025.

Total capital adequacy of the bank as per the new guidelines of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) is 23.3% as of H1 2026, higher than the minimum regulatory requirements prescribed by the QCB and Basel Committee.

In June 2026, Moody’s Investors Service affirmed the Long-term deposit ratings at ‘A1’ with a stable outlook. In June 2026, Fitch Ratings affirmed QIB’s credit rating at ‘A’. In March 2026, Capital Intelligence Ratings (CI) affirmed the bank’s Long-term rating to ‘AA-’ with a stable outlook.
