Meanwhile, Her Excellency the Minister of State for International Co-operation Dr Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad received phone calls Thursday from the adviser to the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) for Organisational and Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan, Al-Sadig Ismail Mahmoud, from France’s Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, responsible for Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Citizens Abroad Eleonore Caroit, and from Canada’s Secretary of State for International Development Randeep Sarai.
His Excellency the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi received phone calls Thursday from the adviser to the President of Brazil Celso Amorim, from the adviser to the President of France Paul Soler, and from the adviser to the Germany Chancellor for Foreign and Security Policy Gunter Sautter.
On Wednesday His Excellency Dr al-Khulaifi received phone calls from Guinea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, African Integration and Guineans Abroad Morissanda Kouyate, from Colombia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio Mapy, and from Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Khvtisiashvili.
During the phone calls the leaders discussed the recent military escalation in the region and its serious implications for regional and international security, as well as ways to resolve disputes through peaceful means.
