Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs meets members of US Senate and House of Representatives

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met today in Washington D.C. with several members of the US Senate and the House of Representatives.HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Senator Steve Daines, Senator Roger W. Marshall, Senator Markwayne Mullin, Senator Jackie Rosen, Senator Brian Schatz, Senator James Lankford, and Senator John Cornyn, as well as Representative Jimmy Panetta and Representative Josh Gottheimer.Discussions during the meeting highlighted the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States and explored ways to further strengthen and promote them. The meeting also touched on a number of issues of mutual interest.

Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Majed bin Mohammed al-Ansari met Tuesday with the visiting Joint Head of Iraq and Arabian Peninsula Department at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Thomas Allan. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral co-operation between the countries and ways to support and develop it.

His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met on Tuesday with the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Shirley Ayorko Botchwey, who is visiting the country.During the meeting, the two sides discussed avenues of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Commonwealth and ways to enhance them, particularly in the fields of diplomacy and peacebuilding. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.The meeting was attended by Director-General of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) Fahad bin Hamad Al Sulaiti.

Qatar, Switzerland hold second round of political consultations

Qatar and Switzerland Monday held a new round of political consultations in Doha, aimed at strengthening bilateral co-operation. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency the Director of the European Affairs Department at Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fahad bin Mohammed Kafoud. The Swiss delegation was led by ambassador Monika Schmutz Kirgoz, Assistant Foreign Minister for Middle East and North Africa Affairs. Officials discussed bilateral relations and explored ways to deepen co-operation across shared areas of interest. The talks form part of an ongoing dialogue intended to develop ties and co-ordinate positions on regional and international issues.

Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council Executive Committee holds eighth session in Riyadh

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah al-Saud, Thursday co-chaired the eighth meeting of the Executive Committee of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council, in Riyadh.**media[389670]**During the meeting, the Council's General Secretariat working team reviewed the outcomes of the subcommittees and their working groups over the past period.HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Saudi Foreign Minister, also signed the minutes of the Executive Committee meeting of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council.

Minister receives copy of credentials of Saudi envoy

Kagame welcomes Amir in Kigali

PM gets message from Iranian FM

His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani received a written message from Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Abbas Araghchi, pertaining to bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them.His Excellency the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi received the message during his meeting Sunday with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht Ravanchi. The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and enhance them, as well as the developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in light of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, besides topics of mutual interest.

Diplomatic Institute participates IFDT in Peru

The Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has participated in the International Diplomatic Training Forum (IFDT), organized by the Peruvian Diplomatic Academy from Nov 11 to 14 in Cusco, Peru. More than 50 diplomatic academies and institutes from around the world participated.The Diplomatic Institute was represented at the forum by His Excellency Director of the Institute Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohammed al-Horr. In his address to the forum, HE al-Horr emphasized that the global diplomatic environment is undergoing rapid transformation, necessitating the adoption of innovative training methods that transcend traditional models. He noted that contemporary diplomats require new skills, including flexibility, emotional intelligence, networking, and the ability to address transnational challenges. The forum also witnessed the official announcement of Qatar, represented by the Diplomatic Institute, being selected to host the 52nd annual meeting of the International Diplomatic Training Forum (IFDT) next year.
