His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Wednesday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly Dr Khalilur Rahman, who is visiting Qatar.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency congratulated Dr Khalilur Rahman on his election as President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, expressing his best wishes for his success.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them along with the latest regional and international developments, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
They also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations in addressing global challenges, particularly in the areas of peacebuilding, sustainable development, and climate change.
