HH the Amir receives written message from president of Namibia

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a written message from President of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah pertaining to bilateral relations and ways to bolster them. The message was received by the His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, during his meeting Thursday with Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Elijah Ngurare.

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met on Monday with the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, on the sidelines of the Second Global Summit for Social Development 2025, currently underway in Doha.The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and explored ways to strengthen cooperation between Qatar and Albania. They also exchanged views on issues featured on the summit's agenda, as well as other topics of mutual interest.The Second Global Summit for Social Development 2025 brings together heads of state, government representatives, and international organisations to explore strategies for promoting inclusive growth and advancing social welfare worldwide.

Egypt, Austria discuss Gaza developments, bilateral relations

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty held talks in Cairo with his Austrian counterpart Beate Meinl-Reisinger, focusing on regional developments — particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip — as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.During the discussions, Minister Abdelatty emphasized the importance of fully implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and of initiating early recovery and reconstruction efforts.He also stressed the need to ensure the unimpeded delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip to meet the urgent needs of its population.In this context, Abdelatty expressed hope that Austria would actively participate in the upcoming international conference on early recovery, reconstruction, and development in Gaza, to be hosted by Egypt later this month, in a way that meaningfully supports the Palestinian people.Regarding bilateral relations, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to enhancing all aspects of cooperation with Austria and to strengthening coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Both sides underlined the importance of immediately alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people, ensuring a complete Israeli withdrawal, and taking practical steps toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Iranian and Egyptian Foreign Ministers hold talks on bilateral relations

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed in a phone call on Saturday with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, bilateral relations and regional and international developments. According to Iranian news agency (IRNA), the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in Gaza, in light of the understanding reached to bring an end to the genocide. During the phone call, Araghchi expressed his deep concern over the blatant violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli entity in recent days, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Palestinians. He emphasized the responsibility of the ceasefire guarantors and the entire international community to prevent the continuation of Israeli killings and crimes. During the phone call, the Egyptian side was also briefed on Iran's perspective regarding the nuclear issue.

US Secretary of State, Liberian counterpart discuss strengthening bilateral relations

During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in the trade and economic fields, as well as the role of the Qatari private sector in promoting trade exchange between the two countries. The meeting also touched on the arrangements for holding the Qatar-Slovenia Business Forum in Doha in November, with the participation of a high-level Slovenian delegation, alongside a number of Qatari and Slovenian businesspersons and investors. Al Mansouri affirmed the Chamber's readiness to cooperate with the Slovenian side to further develop trade and investment relations between the two countries. He noted that trade exchange between both countries amounted to about QR 138 million in 2024, highlighting the mutual desire to enhance the role of the private sector in stimulating investments and boosting bilateral trade.

Malaysia, Pakistan to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields

Malaysia and Pakistan agreed Monday to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, education, halal products, and anti-corruption efforts. Malaysia announced its intention to import USD 200 million worth of halal meat from Pakistan. This came during a press conference held by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his Malaysian counterpart, Anwar Ibrahim, following delegation-level talks in Kuala Lumpur. During his first official visit to Malaysia, the Pakistani Prime Minister reaffirmed his country's commitment to close cooperation with Malaysia and expressed interest in benefiting from its expertise. He highlighted the potential for joint ventures in agriculture, information technology, and vocational training. For his part, the Malaysian Prime Minister described the relationship between Pakistan and Malaysia as strong and deeply rooted, encompassing areas such as education and defense, with continuous expansion in economic cooperation. He pointed out the tremendous potential for deepening cooperation in defense, agriculture, digital technologies, energy, and emerging sectors, and emphasized that Malaysia will work to facilitate meat exports from Pakistan. The Malaysian Prime Minister praised Pakistan's stance on Gaza, noting that Malaysia and Pakistan renewed their call for concrete measures to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
