The Gaza ceasefire violations are very disappointing and frustrating, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani told the Council on Foreign Relations in New York Wednesday."We were trying to contain it and we mobilised right away after this and in full coordination with the US. We have seen that the US also is committed to the deal."We have been very clear with Hamas and Hamas's response was also very clear to us that they are willing to give up their governance. US President Donald Trump affirmed the strength of relations between his country and South Korea, noting that Seoul is a valued friend and ally of Washington. Trump made this statement during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit, held in Gyeongju, South Korea.The US president indicated that a trade agreement with South Korea would be finalized very soon, amid reports that negotiations over the details of the agreement had reached an impasse.For his part, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung asked his US counterpart to allow South Korea access to fuel for its nuclear-powered submarines and pledged to increase defense spending to bolster the country's military capabilities.The South Korean president made these remarks at the start of their summit talks in Gyeongju, southeast of Seoul, where Seoul is seeking to amend the bilateral nuclear energy agreement with Washington to gain greater flexibility in reprocessing spent nuclear fuel and uranium enrichment.The visit marks the US President's first trip to South Korea during his second term in office. The two-day state visit began today as the President arrived in the South Korean city of Busan.

The Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with Her Excellency Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, during her visit to Egypt.The meeting discussed cooperation relations between the two countries, ways to support and enhance them, and a number of topics of common interest.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed in a phone call on Saturday with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, bilateral relations and regional and international developments. According to Iranian news agency (IRNA), the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in Gaza, in light of the understanding reached to bring an end to the genocide. During the phone call, Araghchi expressed his deep concern over the blatant violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli entity in recent days, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Palestinians. He emphasized the responsibility of the ceasefire guarantors and the entire international community to prevent the continuation of Israeli killings and crimes. During the phone call, the Egyptian side was also briefed on Iran's perspective regarding the nuclear issue.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met in Washington with his Liberian counterpart Sara Beysolow Nyanti to discuss deepening US-Liberia bilateral relations and expanding US commercial engagement in Liberia.  In a statement, the US State Department said that Rubio and Nyanti explored avenues for expanding US participation in Liberia's critical minerals sector with the aim of creating jobs and economic growth in both the United States and Liberia.

The Qatar Chamber (QC) held on Tuesday the Qatari-Hungarian Business Meeting. The meeting was co-chaired by Mohamed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi, QC Board Member, and Viktor Dombi, Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Region at the Foreign Economic Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His Excellency Eng. Ali bin Abdullatif Al Misnad, QC Board Member, also attended the meeting.Discussions focused on enhancing trade and economic relations between Qatar and Hungary, as well as exploring potential areas for cooperation and partnership between Qatari and Hungarian business communities, particularly in the sectors of construction, building materials, interior design, 3D architecture, smart furniture, digital architecture, and AI.Mohamed Al Ahbabi affirmed that the State of Qatar and the Republic of Hungary enjoy well-established relations across various fields, particularly in the economic and commercial domains. He noted that the volume of trade exchange between both countries reached about QR 375 million in 2024, highlighting the presence of several Hungarian companies operating in Qatar across diverse sectors, and the existence of numerous agreements signed between both nations in various fields.He emphasised that there is great potential for the private sectors of both countries to strengthen cooperation by establishing trade and investment partnerships that serve their mutual economic interests and help increase bilateral trade. He pointed out that there are many promising investment opportunities available in several economic sectors, especially those represented by the visiting delegation, including engineering, design, and construction.Al Ahbabi further noted that Qatar has developed an attractive investment environment in recent years, supported by modern legislation, world-class infrastructure, and incentives offered to foreign investors. These factors, he said, have made Qatar a preferred destination for international companies seeking stability and growth in the region.He invited the Hungarian business community to explore the vast opportunities offered by the Qatari market, particularly in industry, food security, tourism, renewable energy, technology, and logistics, among other promising sectors.His Excellency Eng. Ali Al Misnad affirmed that the Qatar Chamber welcomes cooperation between Qatari business owners and their Hungarian counterparts, noting the mutual interest of both sides in further developing their relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors, which will contribute to enhancing mutual investments and stimulating the volume of trade exchange.In turn, Viktor Dombi affirmed that Qatar has become a regional model of innovation and sustainability, praising the role of the Qatar Chamber in strengthening cooperation with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in promoting relations between the Qatari and Hungarian private sectors.Dombi highlighted the great potential and broad prospects for cooperation between companies from both sides across numerous sectors. He stressed the Hungarian side's commitment to supporting available cooperation opportunities and to overcoming any challenges that may hinder their development.He also expressed the Hungarian side's support for all initiatives aimed at enhancing partnerships between Qatari and Hungarian investors in fields such as agriculture, financial technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cosmetics, medical tourism, water management, and research.

His Excellency Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met on Tuesday with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the State of Qatar, Mohammad Hazrat Ali Khan. During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries.

Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who is visiting the Sultanate of Oman, and Sultan Haitham bin Tareq of Oman discussed the long-standing bilateral relations between Kuwait and Oman. Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber (QC) Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri, met on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Chamber's headquarters, with the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the State of Qatar, Natalia Al Mansour. During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in the trade and economic fields, as well as the role of the Qatari private sector in promoting trade exchange between the two countries. The meeting also touched on the arrangements for holding the Qatar-Slovenia Business Forum in Doha in November, with the participation of a high-level Slovenian delegation, alongside a number of Qatari and Slovenian businesspersons and investors. Al Mansouri affirmed the Chamber's readiness to cooperate with the Slovenian side to further develop trade and investment relations between the two countries. He noted that trade exchange between both countries amounted to about QR 138 million in 2024, highlighting the mutual desire to enhance the role of the private sector in stimulating investments and boosting bilateral trade.

His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met on Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Paraguay Euclides Acevedo, who is visiting the country. Discussions during the meeting covered cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields, in addition to the latest developments in the Middle East and Latin America. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing international efforts to achieve security and stability and giving priority to the peaceful resolution of disputes in Latin America.

His Excellency Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani, Governor of the Qatar Central Bank, met today, Monday, 6 October 2025, with the Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry of the Republic of India. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in banking and finance and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation.
