His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani awarded the Al Wajbah Decoration to Turkish ambassador Dr Mustafa Goksu in recognition of his contribution to strengthening relations between Qatar and Turkiye.  The honour came as HH the Amir received the ambassador at the Amiri Diwan Tuesday to mark the end of his tenure in Qatar.  HH the Amir wished Goksu success in his future assignments and relations between the two countries further progress and prosperity.  The ambassador thanked HH the Amir and state officials for their co-operation, which he said had contributed to the success of his mission in Qatar.

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi stated the following:At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed on the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's completion of preparations for the 2026-2027 school year.It commended the significant achievements and continued gains being made across the education sector at its various stages and levels, particularly in expanding the construction of new schools in areas of population concentration according to the latest international standards and specifications, thereby ensuring that educational needs are met and accommodating the steady increase in student enrollment.The Cabinet further lauded the ongoing efforts to promote educational workforces and bolster their performance, in addition to persistently developing educational curricula and quality education to keep pace with scientific and technological developments, contributing to strengthening the quality of education and its outcomes.As such, the Cabinet expressed its utmost hopes that the new school year would herald a new watershed moment for success and distinction amid a secure, motivating, and integrated educational environment capable of meeting the requirements of national development, in support of achieving the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3) objectives and Qatar National Vision 2030.Afterwards, the Cabinet went over the items on the agenda and approved a draft bill regulating real estate tokenization and the trading of real estate tokens, along with its draft executive regulations.The draft bill, prepared by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality, Qatar Central Bank, the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, and the General Real Estate Regulatory Authority, aligns with the MOJ's strategy in pursuit of diversifying real estate products to promote investment attraction.This is alongside providing opportunities for all investors by establishing a comprehensive legal framework for real estate tokenization that defines the nature of the real estate token and the rights of its owner, regulates its trading, and directly connects it to the Real Estate Registry to ensure the security and reliability of transactions, protect investors, and ensure market integrity and transparency.This framework would likewise strike a balance between fostering innovation and managing risk, in line with the NDS3 2024-2030, which aims to provide an attractive regulatory environment for investment and develop government services and digital transactions.The Cabinet concurred upon posting the draft bill on the "Sharek" platform of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) for 10 days to solicit views on it, ahead of referring it for legislative review in accordance with the approved procedures.The Cabinet further approved updating the Official Gazette system, which includes a draft bill amending certain provisions of Law No. (12) of 2016 concerning the Official Gazette, and a draft decision by the Minister of Justice regulating the electronic publication of the Official Gazette and related services, both of which were prepared by the MOJ in coordination with the Supreme Judicial Council and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, completing the legislative framework for operating the Official Gazette's independent website, in line with the objectives of the Ministry's Strategy (2025-2030) to develop the legal sector, foster judicial services, and leverage cutting-edge technologies. The system aims to provide immediate, legally authoritative publication through an approved digital platform, as well as search, notification, and verification services and access to open data, thereby reinforcing legal certainty for individuals and institutions.The Cabinet also approved a proposal to organize the authorities responsible for managing and preserving documents at the relevant entities in the country.The proposal, prepared by the National Archives of Qatar in coordination with CGB, intends to implement the best internationally recognized practices for regulating the governance of official records management and preserving the documentary heritage.This will be achieved by establishing a specialized organizational unit responsible for implementing the requirements for managing paper and electronic records in accordance with the highest standards and levels and providing technical support to administrative units within government entities.In addition, the Cabinet decided to approve a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on financial cooperation between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the State of Kuwait, and a draft amendment to the MOU among the governments of the Arab countries that are members of the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.Upon wrapping up the meeting, the Cabinet took stock of four reports and took the appropriate decisions thereon, chiefly a report by the Grievances Committee of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority for the period from Jul. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025; a report on the outcomes of participation in the Fifth Ministerial Conference "No Money for Terror" and the meeting of G7 finance ministers and GCC finance ministers on the global economic situation (Paris, May 2026).This is alongside a report on the outcomes of participation in the seventh meeting of the Joint Committee on Labor Affairs between the State of Qatar and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (Dhaka, May 2026); and a report on the outcomes of participation in the 79th session of the World Health Assembly (Geneva, May 2026). 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman reviewed the relations between their two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them at various levels during talks at the Amiri Diwan Sunday. They also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest. HH the Amir praised the deep-rooted historical relations between Qatar and Oman, affirming Qatar's commitment to continued strengthening of co-operation and partnership in a manner that fulfils the aspirations of the two peoples and serves their shared interests.At the outset of the meeting, the Amir welcomed the sultan and his accompanying delegation, wishing him continued health and well-being and relations between the two countries further development and growth.Sultan Haitham thanked HH the Amir for the warm reception and generous hospitality and expressed his pleasure at the visit, affirming Oman's commitment to strengthening co-operation and co-ordination between the two countries in order to consolidate their longstanding relations and open broader prospects across various fields.HH the Amir later hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the sultan and his delegation, attended by a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior officials from both sides.HH the Amir had earlier led the well-wishers welcoming Sultan Haitham and his delegation at the Amiri Terminal at Hamad International Airport, and led those bidding him farewell from the Amiri Hall at the airport at the close of the visit.The Qatari side at the talks and at the airport comprised His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, His Excellency Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi, His Excellency Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida al-Kaabi, His Excellency Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani al-Thani, His Excellency Minister of Transport Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Thani, His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, and a number of sheikhs. Qatar's ambassador to Oman Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad al-Thani and Oman's ambassador to Qatar Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah bin Sultan al-Busaidi were present at the airport on both occasions.The Sultan was accompanied by Minister of State and Governor of Muscat Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al-Said, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al-Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Office General Sultan bin Mohammed al-Numani, Minister of Interior Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al-Busaidi, Minister of Energy and Minerals Eng Salim bin Nasser al-Aufi, and other members of the official delegation.  

The Amiri Diwan announces a period of public mourning in the State of Qatar for the late HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani for a period of (4) days, commencing Sunday, July 12, 2026. Work will be suspended in all ministries, government agencies, and public institutions starting Monday, July 13, 2026, with employees resuming work on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Flags will be flown at half-mast throughout the State for the duration of the mourning period.

The Amiri Diwan announces that funeral prayers for the late HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani will be held on Sunday, July 12, after Maghrib prayer at Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque in Doha. The burial will be in the Lusail Cemetery.The Amiri Diwan also announces that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will receive condolences from mourners from heads of state, members of the ruling family, dignitaries, and citizens at Al-Lusail Palace as follows:Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 13, 14, and 15, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and after Asr prayer until Isha prayer.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has received the credentials of two newly appointed ambassadors to the country during a ceremony at the Amiri Diwan in Doha.  The credentials were presented lastmorning by Saeed Abdullah al-Qamzi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, and Dr Mahmood Yakubu, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.  HH the Amir welcomed the two diplomats and wished them success in carrying out their diplomatic duties.  HH the Amir also expressed his hope for continued progress and prosperity in the bilateral relations between Qatar and their respective countries. Meanwhile, the ambassadors conveyed to HH the Amir the greetings of their countries' leaders, along with their best wishes for the continued development and prosperity of the people of Qatar.  An official reception ceremony was held for the two ambassadors upon their arrival at the Amiri Diwan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met at the Amiri Diwan Tuesday with Kazakhstan ambassador Arman Issagaliyev and Russian ambassador Dmitry Nikolayevich Dogadkin, who called on HH the Amir to greet him at the end of their tenure in the country.HH the Amir awarded the Al Wajbah Decoration to the ambassadors in appreciation of their role in strengthening the co-operation between Qatar and their friendly countries. HH the Amir wished them success in their future duties and the relations between Qatar and each of Kazakhstan and Russia continued progress and prosperity.For their part, the ambassadors expressed their gratitude and appreciation to HH the Amir and the state officials for the co-operation accorded to them, which contributed to the success of their duties in the country. 

The Cabinet Wednesday welcomed His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani's participation in the G7 Summit in France and his talks with US President Donald Trump, hailing the invitation as recognition of the country's growing international role in promoting peace, development and regional stability.  The meeting, held at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, was chaired by His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan al-Thani.  In a statement read by His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi, ministers praised the Amir's attendance at the summit in Evian-les-Bains and his discussions with Trump on the sidelines of the gathering. The Cabinet said the meeting reflected the depth of strategic ties between Qatar and the United States, and a shared commitment to strengthening co-operation in support of global peace and security.  Ministers also reiterated Qatar's welcome of a recent agreement between the United States and Iran on a memorandum of understanding (MoU), describing it as an important step towards ending conflict, safeguarding freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and supporting regional and international stability.  They commended efforts by both Washington and Tehran to resolve their differences through dialogue, and praised Pakistan's role, alongside that of regional and international partners, in helping facilitate the agreement.  The Cabinet highlighted Qatar's own diplomatic efforts in support of mediation, and expressed hope that future negotiations would lead to a comprehensive and lasting peace.  Separately, ministers welcomed Qatar's ranking as the most peaceful country in the Middle East and North Africa in the 2026 Global Peace Index, saying the result reinforced its reputation as one of the region's most stable and secure nations.  On domestic affairs, the Cabinet reviewed a Shura Council proposal for a draft law on the digital protection of children. The legislation seeks to regulate the use of digital platforms by those under the age of 16 and to strengthen safeguards against online risks. The draft was referred to the relevant authorities for further study.  Ministers also took note of the Shura Council's approval of a new animal health law intended to modernise existing legislation, strengthen disease prevention and control, and align Qatar's regulatory framework with international standards. Officials said the law would support food security objectives and the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy.  The Cabinet further noted the approval of amendments to legislation governing real estate brokerage. The changes would transfer regulatory responsibility for the sector from the Ministry of Justice to the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, to improve oversight and support the sector's development.  It also approved a co-operation agreement between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on combating doping in sport. The meeting concluded with a review of the 2025 annual report of the Qatar Committee for Alliance of Civilizations and a report on the country's participation in the 27th meeting of GCC transport ministers.

His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani Wednesday met ConocoPhillips Chairman and Chief Executive Ryan Lance and his accompanying delegation during their visit to Doha. The meeting took place at the Amiri Diwan, focusing on co-operation between Qatar and ConocoPhillips. Both sides explored ways to further develop ties, particularly in the energy sector. 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani discussed with Rwandan President Paul Kagame bilateral relations and ways to enhance them during a meeting held Sunday at the Amiri Diwan. At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the Rwandan president, commending the strong relations between Qatar and Rwanda in various fields that serve the common interests of the two countries.  Kagame extended his thanks and expressed his appreciation to HH the Amir for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, stressing his country's keenness to develop and strengthen friendly relations with Qatar in many fields.  HH the Amir and the Rwandan president discussed the latest regional and international developments, in addition to ways to enhance international peace and security. **media[449486]**A number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials attended the meeting. On the Rwandan side, a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation attended the meeting.  Earlier Kagame and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon their arrival at Doha International Airport by His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi and Rwandan ambassador to Qatar Igor Marara Kayinamura.
