The Art Laboratory of Katara - the Cultural Village has been opened in Building 18.
Inaugurated by Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, the new initiative will help artists and professionals hone their technical skills through training and artistic activities.
While opening the laboratory, al-Sulaiti said that the new facility will help talents meet their needs and expectations and enrich the technical experiences of professionals by hosting training programmes and art exhibitions. He added that the laboratory increases the level of artists and professionals by improving their skills as per the scientific rules.



“Katara provides a creative environment that features the available latest specialised technical programmes. It offers its activities throughout the year in order to open a new path in training in mastery of various technical schools,” he said.
The laboratory has an open art studio through which the trainees can learn the principles and foundations of drawing in various subjects. It also has special tools and devices to provide various types of technical workshops.
Katara Art Laboratory offers its various activities daily in two periods from 9 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm in building 18.
