Turkiye's annual inflation rate fell to 29.73 percent in September from 31.51 percent in August.

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed today that Turkiye's consumer price index rose 1.84 percent month-on-month in September, while the domestic producer price index increased by 2.07 percent.

The data showed that annual inflation in September stood at 29.73 percent, down from 31.51 percent in August.

As a result, annual consumer price inflation fell below 30 percent for the first time since November 2021.

According to the data, the consumer price index stood at 31.49 percent on an annual basis when calculated using 12-month averages, while the domestic producer price index stood at 27.81 percent.

With the release of the September inflation data, the rate of rent increases applicable in October was also determined, reaching 31.49 percent for homes and workplaces.

Economists had expected the consumer price index to rise by 2.18 percent in September.
