The Ministry of Transport (MoT) is strengthening the capabilities of its regulatory personnel through specialised training in judicial enforcement procedures, organised by the Public Prosecution.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing the legal and field skills of ministry personnel and support efforts to ensure safe, reliable and high-quality transport services for the public, is part of ongoing co-operation between the MoT and the Public Prosecution.
It supports the ministry’s continued inspection campaigns targeting companies operating in the transport sector to verify compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
During the first half of this year, the MoT conducted intensive inspection campaigns covering 987 vehicles, with violations recorded in 10% of the vehicles inspected.
