The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) has announced its Summer Camp 2026, in partnership with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), running from August 2-13. The camp targets Qatari students aged 9-13, offering a programme that combines education, culture, physical activities, and leadership development.
Qatari families are so keen on these summer programmes for their practical and entertaining schedules as well as it is an opportunity to build the characters of the youth and their love to the mother land.
The camp will run daily from 9am-1:30pm and provides a comprehensive experience designed to develop participants’ skills and enhance their knowledge through a variety of educational and interactive activities. Registration is open for both boys’ and girls’ programmes.
The programme combines learning within the museum with exploration of arts, sciences, and culture, alongside hands-on experiences that enrich children’s knowledge and broaden their horizons. The partnership with Lekhwiya also includes a range of sports activities, swimming, leadership programmes, and interactive challenges that foster teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence among participants.
The camp also includes specialised educational workshops offered by the Qatar Science Club and the Qatar Calendar House, providing participants with the opportunity to explore diverse scientific and cultural fields through hands-on activities and innovative teaching methods. The programme includes an educational visit to the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, aiming to introduce children to the history of sports and inspire them with the values of excellence and achievement, within a comprehensive programme that combines knowledge, culture, and physical activity.
The camp is organised as part of the Museum of Islamic Art’s efforts to offer high-quality summer programmes that contribute to enriching children’s summer break and developing their creative, intellectual, and physical abilities. This is achieved through national partnerships that foster integration between cultural, educational, and security institutions, providing a safe and stimulating learning environment that blends learning with recreation.
