His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met Monday with the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence, Helen McEntee, who is currently visiting the country.
They reviewed ways to support and strengthen bilateral relations and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran.
They also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.
Following the meeting, the prime minister attended the signing ceremony of an MoU establishing political consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries.
The MoU was co-signed by His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi and McEntee.
