His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has received a written message from South Korean President Lee Jae Myung , expressing solidarity with Doha following recent regional developments. 

 

Lee conveyed his country's support for Qatar in the aftermath of Iranian attacks on Qatar and the wider region. He also expressed hope for a negotiated settlement to bring the current crisis to an end. 

 

The letter was delivered Monday by South Korean Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik, during a meeting with HH the Amir at the Amiri Diwan in Doha. 

 

Both sides discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and South Korea, with particular focus on co-operation in energy and economic sectors. 

 

They also addressed the latest regional and international developments. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi.
