In the midst of regional turmoil, a Qatari businessman has called on citizens and residents of Qatar to remain calm and confident in the country’s leadership. “We have faced many challenges before and overcome them. My message is to stay positive, trust in our leadership, and trust in the government’s plans. This is a difficult moment, but I am confident we will get through it without major problems,” Abdulrazaq Lari, chairman of Lari Group, told 'Gulf Times'.
He praised the professionalism of Qatar’s armed forces and the wisdom of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani’s leadership, noting their ability to act swiftly to protect the nation. “We have well-trained people and the wise leadership that knows how to safeguard everyone in this country,” he pointed out.
Lari also highlighted the strength and unity of the Qatari community, noting that “the community has always shown resilience.” He said, “People support one another, and we have faced challenges before. Each time, the community stood together, and I am confident we will do the same now.”
According to Lari, recent government actions reassured merchants and suppliers, and were assured of the state’s full support to prevent price increases and panic in the market. “They confirmed that stock levels were secure and goods were still arriving. Warehouses were full, and the government made sure people knew they were not alone,” he emphasised.
Lari also offered advice for families and young people, saying, “stay positive and calm. Difficult times are part of life, but we must remain united, support each other, and trust our leadership. We should follow government guidance and advisories, because that is how we stay safe and move forward.”
Speaking about Lari Group’s role, he emphasised the company’s preparedness: “We have always focused on building a strong and reliable supply chain. We work with multiple international partners and maintain strategic stocks. This has been our policy for years. We ensure sufficient stock is available at all times, and we are prepared to run for many months without disruption.”
Lari added: “Our leadership has a long-term vision and acts immediately when needed. This reassures both the market and the people. We must always trust our government and leadership.”
