The first edition of the Doha International Music and Dance Festival (Doha Tattoo) concluded at Katara Cultural Village, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed al-Thani, and Germany's Federal Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt, along with several senior officers and officials.
The participating military bands presented dazzling performances that were well-received by the audience. Bands from Qatar participated alongside bands from several brotherly and friendly nations.
The Qatari bands included those from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).
Bands from Oman, Jordan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, United Kingdom, and the US also participated.
The performances were inspired by the traditions of international "Tattoo" festivals, celebrating rhythm, culture and unity, in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of cultural exchange and the diversity of experiences, within artistic panels of an organised military nature.
