 HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh has held high-level talks in Athens focused on bilateral relations and recent regional developments. Dr al-Khulaifi met separately yesterday with First Vice-President of the Hellenic Republic’s Parliament, Ioannis Plakiotakis; Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, Dora Bakoyannis; and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Papadopoulou. The meetings discussed ways to support and strengthen bilateral co-operation between Doha and Athens as well as the latest developments in the region. 

His Excellency the Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of global financial institutions and banks, each held separately, in New York City during his current visit to the US, reports QNA. The meetings included HE al-Kuwari’s discussions with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock, Larry Fink; Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan Chase, Jamie Dimon; and Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup, Jane Fraser. During these meetings, a range of financial and economic topics were reviewed, in addition to discussions on recent developments at both the regional and international levels, as well as the associated challenges, particularly those relating to issues of mutual interest between the two sides. 

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan al-Thani held a number of bilateral meetings with several ranking international officials, on the sidelines of the first day of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex) 2026. His Excellency met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakli Chikovani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Croatia Ivan Anusic, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army of Algeria Gen Said Chanegriha, Minister for Defence Procurement and Industry of the United Kingdom Luke Pollard, President of Turkiye’s Defence Industry Agency Dr Haluk Gorgun, and Deputy Minister of National Defence of Turkiye Musa Heybet.**media[406520]**The meetings discussed a number of topics of common interest and ways to strengthen and develop them. The meetings were attended by a number of ranking officers and officials.

His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi has held separate bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption currently taking place in Doha.**media[394164]**HE the Minister met with Carlo Nordio, Minister of Justice of the Italian Republic; Guillaume Ngefa Atondoko, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and Anil Nandlall, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. The discussions focused on enhancing and developing legal co-operation between Qatar and the respective countries, as well as reviewing several agenda items of the conference.**media[394165]**In particular, the talks addressed a memorandum of understanding on legal co-operation between Qatar’s Ministry of Justice and that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, opening new avenues for collaboration between the two nations in the legal and judicial fields.
