Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting Ras Laffan Industrial City, which caused fires resulting in significant damage to the facility.It described the attack as a dangerous escalation, a flagrant violation of state sovereignty, and a direct threat to its national security and regional stability.In a statement Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that despite Qatar's policy of distancing itself from this war since its outset and its commitment to avoiding any escalation, the Iranian side continues to target it and neighbouring countries in an irresponsible approach that undermines regional security and threatens international peace.The ministry stressed that Qatar has repeatedly called for the need to refrain from targeting civilian and energy facilities, including within the territory of Iran, in order to preserve the resources of the region's peoples and safeguard international peace and security. However, the Iranian side continues its escalatory policies that are pushing the region toward the brink and drawing countries not party to this crisis into the conflict zone.The ministry said the attack constitutes a violation of UN Security Council Resolution No. (2817), renewing its call on the Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and to take the necessary measures to stop these serious violations and deter their perpetrators.The ministry also reiterated that Qatar reserves its right to respond in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter and the right to self-defence as guaranteed by international law, stressing that it will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Qatar has reiterated its condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting Qatar’s territory and that of other countries with missiles and drones, in a flagrant violation of national sovereignty, a direct threat to the safety and security of civilians, a clear breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and an unacceptable escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.This came in a statement delivered today by Her Excellency the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva Dr Hend Abdulrahman al-Muftah during her participation in the interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, within the framework of the 61st session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.She welcomed the adoption by the UN Security Council of Resolution 2817, which condemns the Iranian attacks on countries in the region and affirms respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and rejects the targeting of civilians and vital infrastructure.HE Dr al-Muftah noted that the deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilian facilities, civilians, and residential areas constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and that the continuation of such acts is deeply concerning and cannot be tolerated.She stressed that targeting a state that is not a party to the conflict and has not permitted the use of its territory or airspace for hostilities constitutes a serious violation of international law and negatively impacts international peace and security, as well as the enjoyment of fundamental rights, foremost among them the rights to life, education, health, security, and development.HE Dr al-Muftah affirmed that Qatar reserves its full right to respond in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter in defence of its sovereignty and security, while reiterating the call for an immediate cessation of escalation, a return to dialogue, and the exercise of wisdom to preserve the security and stability of the region.  

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received Sunday a phone call from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, in which the Egyptian leader reiterated his country's strong condemnation of the continuing attacks against Qatar.Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's unwavering solidarity with Doha and pledged full support in safeguarding Qatar's security and sovereignty, while also expressing Cairo's readiness to extend all necessary forms of assistance.The Egyptian president stressed the urgency of stepped-up efforts at this critical stage, calling for stronger joint Arab action to reinforce security and stability across the region.The Amir welcomed Egypt's positions, underscoring Qatar's commitment to sustained coordination and dialogue on matters serving the shared interests of both nations and their peoples. The call also covered the latest regional developments amid the current escalation, as well as ongoing efforts to ease tensions, contain the crisis, and prevent the conflict from spreading further.Earlier, the Amir had also received a verbal message from President Sisi on the same regional developments, conveyed in person by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, who visited HH the Amir at Lusail Palace. The minister opened the meeting by extending Sisi's warm personal greetings to the His Highness, wishing him good health and prosperity, and reaffirming Egypt's solidarity with Qatar.The Amir, in turn, asked the minister to carry his greetings back to President Sisi, expressing appreciation for Egypt's consistent and supportive stance toward Qatar and its constructive role in bolstering regional stability.Discussions during the meeting touched on the depth of fraternal ties between the two countries, avenues for further strengthening bilateral relations, and the broader regional situation in the wake of Iran's aggression against Qatar and neighbouring Arab states. The message also emphasised Cairo's commitment to diplomatic solutions as the preferred path to preserving regional security.The meeting was attended by His Excellency Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani and His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi.The high-level exchanges between Cairo and Doha reflect a broader pattern of intensifying Arab diplomatic engagement following Iran's attacks on several Gulf states.Egypt's proactive outreach — through both a direct presidential call and a ministerial visit in the same period — signals the weight Cairo is placing on Arab solidarity at a moment of acute regional tension. The back-to-back contacts also underscore a growing consensus among Arab nations that a unified front and a commitment to diplomatic channels are essential to containing the crisis and preventing further escalation.  

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a phone call Wednesday from Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. At the outset of the call, the Swedish Prime Minister voiced solidarity with Qatar regarding the continued Iranian aggression, stressing his country's condemnation of this aggression.  He also expressed his appreciation for the care and attention provided by the competent authorities in Qatar to Swedish residents.  HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the premier for Sweden's solidarity and support for Qatar and its people.  The two sides also discussed developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability. They stressed the importance of de-escalation, prioritising political solutions through dialogue and diplomatic means, and supporting international efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability and preserving regional and international peace.  HH the Amir also received a phone call Wednesday from The Netherlands King Willem-Alexander, who expressed reassurance regarding the situation in Qatar in the wake of recent developments following the Iranian aggression, emphasising that The Netherlands backs Qatar and stands in full solidarity with it.  He considered this aggression a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Qatar and other nations in the region. The king praised the role of the Qatar Armed Forces in repelling the Iranian aggression, and lauded the efforts being undertaken by the relevant authorities in Qatar in dealing with these developments.  He hailed Qatar's role as a fair and reliable mediator in regional and global issues.  HH the Amir expressed his thanks to the king for his support and solidarity with Qatar, reassuring him of the care and well-being of Dutch nationals residing in the country.  Both sides underscored the criticality of de-escalation in the region and of upholding diplomacy and peaceful solutions as an overriding priority. They stressed that dialogue remains the only way to address crises and achieve security and stability in the region and the world.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call Sunday from French President Emmanuel Macron.The president reiterated France's condemnation of the ongoing Iranian aggression against Qatar and countries of the region, along with the consequent threat to their security, stability, and sovereignty.Macron underscored France's full solidarity with Qatar in confronting the attacks. He commended the efficiency of the Qatar Armed Forces in reinforcing security and protecting all those on its soil, including French residents.Addressing the bilateral relations, both sides emphasised the importance of ensuring the stability of energy supplies, freedom of navigation in critical maritime lanes, and shoring up the existing defence co-operation between the two countries.The two sides reiterated their commitment to continuing the enduring strategic partnership between them, stressing that achieving lasting stability in the region requires de-escalation and giving dialogue and diplomatic paths overriding priority in addressing the current challenge.HH the Amir also received a phone call from Syrian President Ahmed al- Sharaa.Al-Sharaa reiterated Syria's condemnation of the ongoing Iranian aggression against Qatar and the countries of the region, and its violation of the sovereignty of countries and threat to their security and stability.They also discussed the developments in the region and the rapidly evolving situation on the ground. Both sides emphasised the importance of an immediate cessation of escalation and the need to prevent a slide into chaos.Both sides stressed the need to intensify regional and international efforts to create the appropriate conditions for de-escalation, and to rely on political and diplomatic paths in accordance with the principles of the United Nations and its charter to contribute to strengthening regional security and stability.In his call with HH the Amir Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guellehexpressed his country's solidarity with Qatar and support in facing the Iranian aggression.In response, HH the Amir thanked the Djibouti president for his country's stance and highlighted the strong bilateral relations between the two nations.Both leaders stressed the importance of an immediate end to escalation and emphasied prioritising dialogue and diplomatic means to address outstanding issues, in order to preserve security and stability in the region.In his call with HH the Amir Sheikh Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong voiced his country's solidarity with Qatar, stressing Singapore's condemnation of the continued Iranian aggression, and expressing his appreciation for the care and attention given by the relevant authorities in Qatar to Singaporean residents.HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the prime minister for Singapore's support.The two sides discussed the key developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international peace and stability. They stressed the importance of prioritising political solutions through dialogue and negotiations, and the need to intensify diplomatic efforts and support endeavours aimed at consolidating stability in a way that preserves the security of the region.HH the Amir also received a phone call from The Gambia President Adama Barrow, who inquired about the situation in Qatar, condemning the Iranian attacks and affirming Gambia's support for Qatar.HH the Amir voiced his appreciation to the president for his constructive stances and efforts, commending The Gambia's role in supporting Qatar and its people.Both sides stressed the importance of prioritising dialogue and diplomatic means to address tensions, in order to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region.In his call with HH the Amir King Felipe VI assured Spain's solidarity with Qatar following the Iranian attacks, stressing his country's support for Qatar in preserving its sovereignty and the security of its territory and citizens. He also commended Qatar's efforts in managing the current crisis, praising the efficiency of the measures taken and their success in maintaining security and stability.HH the Amir reassured the king about the situation of the Spanish community, stressing that they enjoy care and attention, while at the same time praising Spain's efforts in supporting everything that would end the war and contain its repercussions.The call also discussed the latest developments in the region and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability. Both sides stressed the need for an immediate halt to the military escalation and prevent its spread.HH the Amir also received a phone call from Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who voiced his country's solidarity with Qatar, stressing Colombia's support for all measures taken by Qatar to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability.They also discussed the developments in the region with both sides underpinning the importance of reducing tension, halting escalation and intensifying international efforts to address the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means, in order to preserve regional and international security and stability. 

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its rejection and condemnation in the strongest terms of the blatant and cowardly Iranian attacks that targeted the Riyadh region and the eastern province, confirming that they were repelled.In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Saudi Arabia stressed that these attacks cannot be justified under any pretext or in any way, and that they came despite the Iranian authorities' knowledge that the Kingdom had affirmed it would not allow its airspace or territory to be used to target Iran.In light of this unjustified aggression, the statement added, the Kingdom affirms that it will take all necessary measures to defend its security and protect its territory, citizens, and residents, including the option of responding to the aggression. 

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman and the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is visiting Oman, renewed their condemnation of the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, stressing their full solidarity with Qatar and support for any steps it may take to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the wellbeing of its citizens. The two leaders emphasized that the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar represents a violation of national sovereignty, a breach of international law, and a serious threat to regional security and stability. They also addressed the progress of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) efforts, with both leaders reiterating their joint commitment to strengthening Gulf integration and supporting initiatives that advance the GCC's objectives, deepen cooperation among its member states, and fulfill the aspirations of its peoples for development and prosperity. They exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
