His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met on Sunday with the State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, Diego Martinez Belio who is visiting the country. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and exchanged points of view on several regional and international issues, especially the developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories and the efforts aimed at a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. His Excellency the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the State of Qatar's keenness to continue coordination with Spain to contribute to supporting international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region.

Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari met on Sunday with the Secretary-General of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Ireland, Joe Hackett, who is visiting the country. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to the latest developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories and Syria. They also discussed several topics of mutual interest.

Lebanon's Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nassereddine highlighted the depth of the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and Lebanon, praising Qatar's leadership in the health sector. In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Lebanese Health Minister affirmed that the relations between the two countries date back many years and are based on a shared commitment to supporting and developing them in various fields. He praised the significant development witnessed by the State of Qatar across various sectors, particularly in the health field, noting that Qatar represents an advanced model to be emulated in integrated healthcare systems both regionally and internationally. He stressed Qatar's steadfast support for Lebanon and its continued assistance, especially in the health sector, highlighting the ongoing cooperation with the Qatar Fund for Development in the reconstruction of Karantina Hospital. He explained that Qatar's support for the Lebanese health sector has been present throughout various stages — starting from the COVID-19 pandemic, through the Beirut Port explosion, and up to the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon--affirming that this continuous support reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries. The Minister also referred to his recent visit to Doha to participate in the 6th Global Ministerial Summit on Mental Health, noting the meetings he held with several officials from Qatar Charity, the Qatar Cancer Society, the Qatar Fund for Development, and the Qatar Red Crescent, during which ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the health and humanitarian fields were discussed. Dr. Nassereddine expressed his gratitude to the State of Qatar for its continued support to Lebanon, affirming his country's readiness to strengthen health cooperation and exchange expertise, particularly in crisis response and in dealing with injuries resulting from disasters and wars. He emphasized the importance of Arab partnerships, including with Qatar, to support Lebanon's health sector, which suffers from limited resources but at the same time boasts highly qualified and skilled professionals. He revealed an improvement in healthcare coverage for patients under the supervision of the Lebanese Ministry of Health, through the expansion of medication protocols — especially for cancer treatment — along with the gradual inclusion of kidney transplants and heart valve procedures, in addition to enhancing mental health support, particularly for chronic cases. The Minister of Public Health, pointed out that the ministry's 2024 budget amounted to around $445 million, while the 2025 budget is approximately $480 million, noting that more than $200 million of this amount is allocated to hospital care.

His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to Qatar Pascual Del Cioppo, on the occasion of the end of his tenure. HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, extended thanks to the Ambassador for his efforts in supporting and strengthening bilateral relations, wishing him success in his new duties.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Kostis Hatzidakis met with Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Greece Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri.The meeting reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries.

The embassy of Austria Sunday received the ‘Austria Luxury Showcase’ tourism delegation to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Austria. Aimed to foster co-operation in the field of tourism, the event brought together leading representatives and stakeholders from the tourism sector while providing an excellent opportunity for exchange and networking.The event was attended by ambassador of Austria Erika Bernhard along with representatives from various Qatari and Austrian entities.While addressing the event, the ambassador noted that Austria and Qatar are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations this year in a very constructive exchange in multiple sectors. “Austria and Qatar have been connected in friendship and in a very constructive exchange for such a long time. So we count on the success of the co-operation for the next 50 years. We can do even more,” she said.In the context of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the ambassador said, the Austrian embassy launched a series of events in mid-September. An exchange was made between the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences in Austria and the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST). A high-level delegation from IMC Krems visited UDST to indicate a potential for future co-operation between the two institutions.“Our aim is to promote exchange between young people because they are the future. If they know each other better, understand each other’s cultures better, it’s good for all of us. The Austrian embassy together with the Austrian Trade Commission hosted a series of Austrian Business Council meetings. We are trying to contribute to intensifying the business exchange between our countries,” she said.As part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Katara Cultural Village hosted a cultural event entitled ‘Culinary Arts’ in co-operation with the Austrian embassy in Doha. His Excellency Chairperson of Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani met on Monday with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the State of Qatar, Walid Fahmy Al Faqi. The two sides discussed media relations between the two countries and explored ways to support and develop them.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman on Monday received a verbal message from President of the Swiss Confederation Karin Keller-Sutter. This took place during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of the Sultan of Oman Asaad bin Tariq Al Said and Federal Councilor Guy Parmelin, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, during his current working visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting reviewed the relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Swiss Confederation, emphasizing the need for joint efforts to develop them, particularly in the economic, commercial, and investment fields.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues during a phone call with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, particularly developments in the Gaza Strip and the need to halt the Israeli aggression and ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid. During the call, President Erdogan stressed the need to stop Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and prevent him from undermining peace in the region, emphasizing that the Israeli occupation government has demonstrated through its actions its lack of intention to achieve peace. Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, discussed bilateral relations with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in the United States. The meeting addressed several topics, most notably a review of Gulf-Pakistan relations and ways to develop and strengthen them to serve their common interests, in line with the Joint Action Plan 2022-2026. A Qatari economic delegation visited the city of Bordeaux in southwest France as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Qatar and France and to expand economic ties with various French regions.The delegation was led by His Excellency Chairman of the Qatar Chamber (QC) Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani, and His Excellency Board Member of the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al-Thani. The visit was organized at the invitation of Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's Ambassador to France, and in cooperation with the Qatari-French Economic Circle (Cadran). The visit included tours of key industrial sites and major companies, such as the headquarters of Thales Group and Olicrom, a French company specializing in smart color-changing materials, as well as visits to several research centers in Bordeaux and its surrounding areas. During the trip, the Qatar Chamber and the Bordeaux Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation agreement to enhance economic relations and open new opportunities for collaboration. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani and Patrick Seguin, President of the Bordeaux Chamber, in the presence of Qatar's Ambassador to France. The Qatari delegation also participated in a business roundtable to discuss cooperation opportunities between Qatari and French companies, introduce Bordeaux, the Gironde region, and their leading economic sectors, and present Qatar's business climate and the investment opportunities available in both countries. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani emphasized the close relationship between the two friendly countries, describing France as a trusted strategic partner for Qatar. Trade exchange between the two countries also increased by 5.6 percent in 2024 compared to previous levels.He pointed out that among the most significant leaps in economic relations between the two countries is that Qatari assistance to Jordan amounting to $500 million, directed toward specific development investments, and Qatar's pledge to employ thousands of Jordanians.He added that the private sector in the two countries is very active at the level of chambers of commerce and industry and relations between businessmen, pointing out that there are 50 direct Qatari investments in the real estate sector, and Qatari investments in the Amman Stock Exchange, representing approximately 2.5 percent of the stock exchange's total market capitalization. Meanwhile, exports from Jordan to Qatar during the past six months alone reached 58 million Jordanian dinars, while imports amounted to approximately 60 million Jordanian dinars.
