The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Monday to participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by His Excellency Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar Dr. Muhammad Ejaz.

The President of the sisterly Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun arrived in Doha on Monday to take part in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled to be held today. Lebanese President and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by His Excellency Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani and Acting Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Lebanese Republic to the State of Qatar Farah Berri.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Doha on Monday to take part in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled to be held today. President Masoud Pezeshkian and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State of Qatar Ali Salehabadi.

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Monday with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon Youssef Raggi, on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit hosted by Doha on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, as well as developments in the region, particularly the treacherous Israeli attack that targeted Doha. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed during the meeting that the State of Qatar will take all necessary measures to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty in the face of the blatant Israeli attack. For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar, describing the Israeli attack as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international law.

The President and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic to the State of Qatar Dr. Bilal Tourkiya.

Qatar men’s team will start their Arab Gulf Padel Championship campaign against Oman at the Padel In - Aspire Zone Monday. The draw ceremony of the championship, which is being organized by the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation (QTSPBF), was held Sunday in the presence of the participating teams representatives. Saudi Arabia will take on the UAE while Bahrain will meet Kuwait. The five-day tournament will be held in three categories – men’s, women’s and juniors and conclude on September 19.In the women’s section, Bahraini will start against Oman Monday. The Preparatory Ministerial Meeting for the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled for Monday, convened on Sunday in Doha. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
