The Foreign Ministers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom Friday condemned Israel’s strikes in Doha on 9 September.In a joint statement released on Friday, the foreign ministers said the strikes violate Qatar’s sovereignty and risk further escalation in the region."Furthermore, such action poses a serious risk to achieving a negotiated deal, which would secure the release of all remaining hostages and end the war in Gaza. The Ministers urge all parties to renew and redouble their efforts to agree on an immediate ceasefire," the statement continued."We express our solidarity with Qatar and fully support the vital role it continues to play in mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas, alongside Egypt and the United States. Qatar's Ministry of Interior (MoI) has confirmed the identity of one of the victims killed in Tuesday's Israeli strike on a residential building in Doha housing members of Hamas's political bureau.An MoI statement said the identity of martyr Jihad Riyah Hassan Labad has been confirmed "as part of the ongoing monitoring of developments related to the Israeli targeting and in light of the field operations carried out by the relevant security agencies to collect evidence and information".The statement added that human remains were discovered in various locations at the site, and the Qatari Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team is currently working to accurately identify the victims.The Ministry affirmed that it will continue to monitor developments and will announce any verified updates through official channels.It also noted that efforts are still underway to locate and identify missing individuals, as specialized field teams carry out search and investigation operations.

Canada is evaluating its relationship with Israel after the attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar, foreign minister Anita Anand said on Wednesday, in the latest sign of unhappiness with the Israeli government.Anand reiterated that Canada considered the attack to be unacceptable, especially given Qatari attempts to facilitate peace in the Middle East.Anand made her comments when asked whether Canada might follow the lead of the European Commission, which said it would propose the suspension of trade-related measures in a European Union agreement with Israel."We are evaluating our relationship with Israel," Anand told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of the ruling Liberal Party in Edmonton.Asked specifically whether Canada was considering any kinds of sanctions against Israel, she replied: "We will continue to evaluate our next steps."Canada has noticeably hardened its line on Israel under Prime Minister Mark Carney, who replaced Justin Trudeau in January.
