Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, held a telephone conversation on Sunday with the Maldives' Foreign Minister, Iruthisham Adam, to discuss regional and international developments.During the call, the two ministers also reviewed bilateral relations between their countries and explored ways to strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional developments with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani in a phone call on Wednesday.During the call, both ministers strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain with missiles and drones.Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain is an integral part of the security of the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

His Excellency the Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari met in Paris with chief executives of major French companies that are members of the Qatar-France Economic Association (Qadran), during a roundtable organised by the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the French Republic.During the meeting, discussions focused on ways to strengthen the framework of joint co-operation and further consolidate bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, in addition to reviewing key investment opportunities and economic developments of mutual interest.The meeting also discussed the importance of enhancing economic partnerships between both sides in a manner that supports investment growth and broadens prospects for co-operation between Qatari and French institutions.Qadran is an independent non-profit organisation established in 2015. Its membership includes leading Qatari commercial institutions operating in France, alongside major French companies operating in the State of Qatar and influential economic figures.The organisation aims to host annual academic and social events that promote dialogue and the exchange of perspectives between Qatari and French companies, providing a platform for multilateral economic discussions among senior officials and decision-makers. 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met Monday at the Amiri Diwan with Jordanian Crown Prince Al- Hussein bin Abdullah II. At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the crown prince, affirming the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.  The crown prince conveyed to HH the Amir the greetings of King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein along with his wishes of continued good health and happiness to His Highness, and further progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.  Crown Prince Al-Hussein underscored the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation that would restore stability in the region.  He also expressed Jordan's full support for, and solidarity with Qatar and other countries in the region in safeguarding their security and sovereignty, reiterating his country's condemnation of the attacks targeting Qatar. In turn, HH the Amir entrusted the crown prince to convey his greetings to the Jordanian king, wishing him continued good health and well-being, and the brotherly people of Jordan continued growth and prosperity.  HH the Amir also expressed Qatar's appreciation for Jordan's supportive stance, emphasising the importance of continued coordination and consultation on regional developments in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and strengthens the foundations of security and stability in the region.  During the meeting, both sides highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and discussed ways to further enhance and develop them. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments.  The crown prince departed Doha following a working visit to the country. He was seen off upon departure at Doha International Airport by His Excellency Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and Jordanian ambassador Zaid Mufleh al-Lozi. Earlier upon his arrival the crown prince was welcomed by both the interior minister and the ambassador.

Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has reviewed the recent geopolitical developments and their implications for the domestic financial system.The review confirmed that the financial system continues to operate from a position of strength. Liquidity continues to be strong, capital levels significantly exceed regulatory requirements, and provisioning provides strong coverage against credit risk.The review noted that banks continue to hold substantial liquidity in both domestic and foreign currency and that resources are sufficient to meet customer demand, support normal market activity, and meet any short term funding pressures under stressed conditions.The financial sector’s position reflects the structural strengths that the financial sector has developed over time. The review noted that during prior periods of global market stress, the banking system demonstrated resilience and that current conditions do not change that underlying strength. The external environment, however, remains uncertain, and the QCB recognizes that conditions can change.In this context, the QCB has decided that it is prudent to implement the following precautionary measures:Monetary Policy Measures: QCB will offer an unlimited amount of Qatari riyal (QAR) repurchase (repo) facilities against eligible securities held by banks, in order to continue to ensure deep QAR liquidity in the local market.In addition to the existing overnight repo facility offered by the QCB, the QCB will introduce a term repo facility with maturities of up to three months.This new term repo facility will enable banks to manage cash flow with greater certainty during the current period. QCB will reduce the reserve requirement on deposits from 4.5% to 3.5%, which will release additional liquidity.QCB will also permit banks to offer borrowers affected by the current circumstances the option to defer loan principal and interest payments for a period of up to three months. Any such payment deferrals will be applied in accordance with banks’ internal policies and supervisory guidance.QCB will continue to monitor global, regional, and domestic developments closely and will continue to act in a timely and prudent manner to support financial stability and orderly market functioning.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud in Jeddah Monday.The two leaders discussed regional and international developments as well as efforts to de-escalate tensions and reinforce security and stability in the region.Both sides addressed the ongoing efforts to contain the rising tensions amid rapidly evolving developments, including the incessant Iranian aggression and the challenges it imposes on regional and global security and stability as well as its potential impacts on global energy supplies and market stability.HH the Amir and the Saudi crown prince shared perspectives on the foremost issues of shared concern and emphasised the importance of continued coordination and consultation, underscoring the close and strategic relations between the two countries.Attending the meeting were His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, His Excellency Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, and His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi, alongside a number of Their Excellencies high-ranking officials.On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Musaed bin Mohammed al-Aiban, alongside a number of senior officials.Earlier HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.Later, HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure from King Abdulaziz International Airport also by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.  

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received phone calls from Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Indonesia's President Prabowo Subiant, during which regional developments and efforts to achieve de-escalation featured prominently.The Pakistani prime minister and the Indonesian president each extended their sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the HH the Amir over the martyrs of the Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crash in the country's territorial waters.HH the Amir and both the leaders also exchanged greetings on Eid al-Fitr.Sharif reiterated Pakistan's solidarity with Qatar, expressing his country's condemnation of the Iranian aggression against Qatar and several other countries in the region. President Subianto similarly condemned the military escalation, confirming Indonesia's readiness to contribute to ongoing de-escalation efforts in the region.HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to both leaders for their sincere sentiments and their countries' supportive stances.All sides underscored the importance of de-escalation and an immediate halt to military operations in the region, affirming the necessity of prioritising diplomatic solutions to end.HH the Amir also received a phone call Wednesday from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.Both leaders exchanged stressed the importance of de-escalation and prioritising diplomatic solutions to enhance security and stability in the region.In this context, HH the Amir reiterated Qatar's condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting several countries in the region, stressing that they constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law.HH the Amir also stressed the necessity of immediately halting these attacks, refraining from using the territories of any country to threaten neighbouring countries, and the importance of taking the necessary measures to prevent any hostile acts originating from its territories to preserve the security of the region and prevent further escalation. 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from the Prime Minister of the sisterly Republic of Iraq, Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani.The call addressed the security developments in the region and their implications for regional peace and stability, with both sides stressing the importance of an immediate halt to the escalation and of giving dialogue a chance to ensure regional security and prevent further deterioration of the situation.In this context, the Iraqi Prime Minister underscored the Republic of Iraq's solidarity with the State of Qatar and its condemnation of attacks targeting Qatari territories with Iranian ballistic missiles.He emphasized that Iraq is ready to provide support to the State of Qatar in all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability.For his part, HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation for the sisterly Republic of Iraq's stance and its support for the State of Qatar. 

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has launched 67 projects during the first quarter of this year as part of its ongoing efforts to complete infrastructure developments and enhance the efficiency of service facilities across different parts of the country. These projects cover various vital initiatives, such as the design, supply, and installation of new lighting for Al Wahda Arches (5/6 Arch), an on-demand agreement for road and infrastructure works, supervision of experimental deep well construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of the treated water network in the west of Qatar (Phase 2), and renovation and repair works at strategic sites in the north of the country (Phase 9). The projects also include improving the Industrial Area wastewater treatment plant assets (Phase 2), construction of a strategic sewer line for Karwa City and Asian City, and the completion of several road and infrastructure projects in Mebaireek, Greater Doha, Umm Ghuwailina, and the areas surrounding Al Bayt Stadium, in addition to supervising road and infrastructure development in Wadi Al Banat. Further projects include the supervision of road development in North and East Al Kheesa (Rawdat Al Hammama), and the design and implementation of multiple service facilities such as dispatch rooms, storage stations, and warehouses for government entities. They also cover the supervision of a 1.6km sewage tunnel in North Doha, an integrated sewerage network system for Karwa and Asian cities and their surrounding areas, as well as house connection works and pedestrian crossings (Phase 4). The portfolio further includes the implementation of road and infrastructure projects in Rawdat Aba Al Hiran and Sailiya Al Attiyah, framework contracts for road connections and consultancy services for public-private partnership contracts, the treated water network renewal programme in the south of Qatar (Phase 2), upgrades to the tunnels on Lusail Expressway and Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, the design of administrative buildings for the Protection and Natural Reserves Sector and the Turtle Protection Centre, and the design and construction of the Western Strategic Tunnel for surface and groundwater drainage in the south of the country. Additional projects include road and infrastructure development in south-west Al Wakrah and north of Simaisma and Al Kheesa, completion of remaining works in Umm Al Dom, modifications and additions to eight existing schools, construction of truck parking facilities in Al Ruwais, implementation of the Msheireb offices project, completion of works in Central Doha and the Corniche (Package 2), and the development of bus depots, stations, and related infrastructure. Regarding operations and maintenance, the projects cover the supply of equipment, spare parts, and pumps for sewage networks, consultancy services for the design of a central sludge treatment plant, tunnel upgrades on Lusail Expressway and Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, various engineering supervision and consultancy services, professional secondment contracts for managing road projects, updating the Integrated Sewerage Master Plan 2026, geotechnical and structural testing contracts, and the demolition of idle facilities and construction of new schools in Simaisma (Phase 3). 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the President of the friendly French Republic Emmanuel Macron discussed the two countries' strategic cooperation relations and ways to support and further strengthen them across various fields. This came during a telephone call HH the Amir received from the French President. During the call, the two sides exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, particularly efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region, developments related to the Iranian issue and its implications for regional security, as well as the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, efforts to achieve a ceasefire and protect civilians.The call further addressed ways to support stability in Lebanon and to safeguard its security and sovereignty.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani discussed with Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in various fields. This followed a phone call His Highness the Amir held Thursday with the president. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, particularly the current situation and the efforts being made to de-escalate tensions and establish stability. Both sides emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional issues, in a way that contributes to consolidating peace and security and achieving the region's interests.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani discussed Wednesday with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif the latest regional and international developments of joint interest, particularly de-escalation, enhancing dialogue, empowering peaceful solutions, and supporting diplomatic efforts aiming to support security and stability in the region. This followed a telephone call His Highness the Amir held with Prime Minister Sharif. They also dealt with discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them.The Pakistan Prime Minister's Office (PMO) reported that Sharif appreciated Qatar’s constructive and proactive role in promoting peace, dialogue, and mediation across the region, and acknowledged its meaningful efforts to defuse tensions through diplomatic solutions. He assured the Qatari leadership that Pakistan would also continue to play a positive role in maintaining regional peace and stability.The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the current trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared resolve to further strengthen these time-tested fraternal bonds, the PMO noted.
