His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud in Jeddah Monday.
The two leaders discussed regional and international developments as well as efforts to de-escalate tensions and reinforce security and stability in the region.
Both sides addressed the ongoing efforts to contain the rising tensions amid rapidly evolving developments, including the incessant Iranian aggression and the challenges it imposes on regional and global security and stability as well as its potential impacts on global energy supplies and market stability.
HH the Amir and the Saudi crown prince shared perspectives on the foremost issues of shared concern and emphasised the importance of continued coordination and consultation, underscoring the close and strategic relations between the two countries.
Attending the meeting were His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, His Excellency Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, and His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi, alongside a number of Their Excellencies high-ranking officials.
On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Musaed bin Mohammed al-Aiban, alongside a number of senior officials.
Earlier HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
Later, HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure from King Abdulaziz International Airport also by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
