Egypt condemned in the strongest terms missile and drone attacks that targeted Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran in Saudi Arabia, wounding tens of civilians including women and children, calling the strikes a serious escalation that violates Saudi sovereignty and threatens the safety of its people.In a statement published today, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Egypt's full support to Saudi Arabia, stating that it stands fully alongside the Kingdom in facing any threats to its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, voicing complete rejection of any targeting of civilians and civilian facilities. The ministry also stressed that Saudi Arabia's security is inseparable from Egyptian and Arab national security. 

Egypt has condemned the Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.In a statement Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its utmost concern over these persistent attacks, which pose a direct threat to the security and safety of nations and peoples.The Ministry reiterated that Egypt firmly stands with these two nations and stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, protecting the security and safety of navigation, as well as vessel traffic in maritime lanes and straits, in accordance with the international rules-based order.It further reemphasized the importance of de-escalation, ceasing attacks, returning to the negotiating table, and providing opportunities for diplomatic paths toward reaching solutions that help restore security and stability and shield the region from the risks of confrontation spillover.

Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, discussed the latest regional updates, during a call Saturday.The two sides also touched on diplomatic efforts seeking to enhance security and stability in the Middle East. 

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty and Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed discussed the need to preserve the existing historical and legal status quo in the city of Jerusalem and its holy sites, during a phone call Saturday.The two sides stressed their rejection of any measures that could undermine the city's religious and historical status or alter its character, as well as affirmed the need to confront the ongoing and systematic Israeli violations in Jerusalem, according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's statement.It added that both sides also reviewed the most prominent regional developments, foremost among them the Palestinian issue, and discussed supporting efforts to achieve security, stability, development, and fulfill the aspirations of the peoples of Islamic nations. 

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed, during a telephone conversation with Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein Al Sheikh, the importance of safeguarding the territorial integrity of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and enabling the Palestinian Authority to undertake its responsibilities.In a statement Sunday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said the conversation centered on the grave developments in the West Bank, with Abdelatty condemning the Israeli expansion of settlement activities, rising settler violence and abusive acts in East Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.He further contended that the settlement project in the E1 area is utterly unacceptable, as it threatens to cantonize the West Bank, encircle and isolate East Jerusalem, and further undermine efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967, lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.In addition, the two sides addressed ongoing efforts to complete the obligations of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's peace plan, in accordance with the roadmap, and move to the second phase.This includes ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and enabling the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) to embark on carrying out its duties from within the Strip. For his part, the President of the State of Palestine lauded Egypt's supportive role in the Palestinian cause, along with the efforts it exerts to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.He asserted that coordination and consultation would continue throughout the upcoming phase. 

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Greek counterpart, Giorgos Gerapetritis discussed, during a phone call today, ways to strengthen Egyptian-Greek relations in addition to regional developments, in light of the strategic partnership and ongoing coordination between the two countries.The two ministers exchanged views on regional developments, emphasizing the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts and supporting political solutions to de-escalate tensions.The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of avoiding military escalation, prioritizing the diplomatic track, and safeguarding the security and freedom of international navigation, given the serious repercussions of current tensions on energy security and global trade. 

 A delegation from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) participated in a ceremony held to announce that the search and rescue team of the General Directorate of Civil Protection at Egypt’s ministry of interior had obtained international classification at the “Medium” level from the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), affiliated with the United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).  The delegation was headed by Lekhwiya assistant commander (Administration and Supply) Staff Brigadier Mubarak Sherida al-Kaabi.  This achievement reflects the outcomes of joint co-operation in the field of search and rescue, with the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group contributing to the training and qualification of the Egyptian team in accordance with approved international standards.  Accordingly, the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group became the first Arab international team to train and qualify another Arab team to achieve international classification.  The ceremony was attended by Egypt’s Assistant Minister of Interior Major-General Amr Mustafa El-Baily, along with security leaders from both sides and INSARAG representatives.  On the sidelines of the announcement ceremony, al-Kaabi held a meeting with El-Baily.  During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of co-operation in the fields of security training and search and rescue, and discussed ways to further enhance and develop this co-operation.  El-Baily commended the prominent role of the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group, as an internationally accredited mentor, in training and qualifying the Egyptian team to obtain international certification.  He also emphasised the importance of continued co-ordination and co-operation in strengthening the joint Arab search and rescue system. –

Former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah on Thursday signed a two-year contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor after leaving the Premier League giants at the end of his contract.The 34-year-old Egyptian international reached "a two-year agreement" with the club on the Black Sea coast who will compete in the Europa League play-off round at the end of August.The second-highest-paid player in the Premier League last season, Salah will earn 17mn euros ($19.6mn) per season in addition to bonuses, a record for the Turkish league, his new club said.Salah will also receive a 20 percent share of revenue from sales of jerseys and merchandise bearing his name.The Egypt captain was welcomed as a hero by thousands of fans in the northeastern city of Trabzon and is set to take part in a signing ceremony with supporters at Trabzonspor's stadium later Thursday."I am really happy... and looking forward to training with the team. Everywhere I go I always win or try to win something. Hopefully we can do something in the league and in Europe as well," Salah, who will wear the number 10 shirt, said on Wednesday.Salah has previously played in Egypt, Switzerland, Italy, and England.Salah netted 257 goals for Liverpool in 442 appearances in all competitions during his nine-year spell, making him the third top goalscorer in the club's history, winning two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.He also scored 193 Premier League goals, 191 of them for the Reds, putting him fourth in the all-time list behind English trio Alan Shearer, Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney.Salah was far from his best in a struggling Liverpool team last term, scoring only seven times in the league but that did not diminish his popularity.He last played at the World Cup, helping Egypt reach the last 16 for the first time since 1934 before they blew a two-goal lead to suffer an agonising loss to eventual runners-up Argentina.Salah had also been linked with Trabzonspor's Super Lig rivals Besiktas.Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish top flight last season, nine points clear of Besiktas, to qualify for the Europa League play-off round.Salah has scored 66 goals in 119 international appearances for Egypt and is one of the most successful African players in history.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi have stressed, during a telephone conversation, the importance of immediately ceasing all military actions, adding that these actions would trigger a broader regional conflict.They underlined that it is highly essential to prioritize political and diplomatic solutions, as well as ramp up coordination and consultation among Arab nations to safeguard the security and stability of the region and their peoples' assets.In a statement on Monday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Abdelatty reemphasized during the conversation that Egypt condemns the Iranian attacks on several areas in Jordan.He confirmed that his country fully stands side by side with Jordan and backs all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty, expressing his flat-out rejection of any assault that undermines the security and sovereignty of Arab nations.On the Palestinian cause, the two ministers underscored the need to implement all gains of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's plan and ensure the unhindered flow of life-saving humanitarian aid, as well as relief and medical assistance, into the Gaza Strip.Both sides asserted that this aid would mitigate the suffering of the Palestinian people, stressing the importance of reaching an agreement on the second phase of this plan, which includes the Israeli withdrawal from the enclave.The two ministers also condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as a non-starter.In addition, both sides concurred on continuing closer coordination and consultation between Egypt and Jordan and beefing up the existing cooperation mechanisms to serve their shared interests, achieve the aspirations of their peoples, and ensure that coordination proceeds on a variety of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed the latest regional developments amid the military escalation in the region during a phone call with US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's support for all efforts aimed at resolving the current crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means, welcoming the progress achieved through the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran.During the call, the Egyptian Minister stressed the importance of adhering to the MoU and ensuring it represents a constructive step towards reducing tensions and enhancing security and stability in the region.
