MES Indian School observed Poshan Abhiyan, a programme on National Nutrition Mission launched by the Indian prime minister aimed at reducing the level of stunting, under nutrition, low birth weight in children, and anaemia in adolescent girls, pregnant women, lactating mothers as well as children.
Special assemblies were conducted in the virtual mode to discuss malnutrition, its impact on society and the value of a healthy and balanced diet.
A plantation drive was carried out as a part of the school nutrition and Kitchen Garden programme.
An online parent-teacher meeting discussed healthy diet and the physical as well as mental well-being of the students.
A quiz progamme for the school students focusing on malnutrition and nutrition awareness was organised. Students demonstrated through video presentations the right type of nutrition for children and adults and the importance of maintaining physical health.
