Al Rayyan Municipality carried out 2,873 inspection tours during November, which resulted in issuing 35 violation reports with 30 of them resolved in reconciliation and four referred to the security department concerned.
The municipality also followed up 35 complaints against various food outlets. A total of 35 full carcasses of slaughtered livestock, and 103kg of meat were destroyed at the public slaughterhouse for being unfit for consumption.
The health inspectors and veterinarians also supervised the slaughtering of 4,442 heads of livestock. As much as 38,353kg of vegetables and fruits at Al Sayliyah Central Market were destroyed. Further, 43 food samples were sent to the central laboratories for tests.
