The globally-renowned Georgian National Ballet ‘Sukhishvili’ enthralled festival-goers at the Summer Entertainment City (SEC) on Thursday with their unique performances – a mix of classical ballet and modernised folkloric dances

The 29,000sqm facility, located at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, is hosting a total of 300 different kinds of shows in 39 days, from its opening last June 4 to July 13, including the famous group’s 15 performances from the second to the fourth day of Eid al-Fitr.

“The performance of the Georgian National Ballet ‘Sukhishvili’ was well received by a large number of people who watched the show here (SEC). The audience loves it, and it’s great,” QSports founder and board member Adil Ahmed told Gulf Times.

“It is their first time to perform to such an audience, and they are happy with the show,” he added.

The special entertainment show, along with the daily cultural and live performances at SEC, is organised in collaboration with the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) as part of the country’s biggest ‘Summer in Qatar’ (SiQ) programme.
