Qatar Leadership Academy (QLA), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), graduated its 12th cohort at a ceremony at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) over the weekend.
The ceremony was attended by HE Dr Hamad bin Adbulaziz al-Kuwari, Minister of State; Buthaina Ali al-Nuaimi, president of Pre-University, QF, other dignitaries, students and their families.
The 2019 ceremony saw 21 students graduating.
QLA director Staff Brigadier General Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari praised the graduates in his speech during the ceremony.
“What you see today is a fruitful outcome of this distinguished Academy, which has spread its reputation not only within the borders of the country, but has burst into the horizon to attract the elite of the youth in the region, and even some nationalities outside the borders of the Arab world,” he said.
“This Academy is distinguished by staff, programmes, academic curricula, performance and activity locally and internationally. It contributes to the various activities and programmes offered by the government and private institutions, as evidenced by the annual excellence of our students in achieving the highest grades and ranks in various competitions, be it religious or cultural, and in sports, folklore, science and leadership.
“We have made the vow with determination to stay always ahead in driving towards excellence,” he said.
Cadet Ali Alsehani was the valedictorian speaker who highlighted the successful academic journey all the rough the years.
“Our presence and excellence today is the result of those leadership and academic programmes that guided us through paths of creativity, and the latest resources of knowledge in line with QLA’s vision in providing quality education. QLA has prepared its cadets according to modern methods of teaching to qualify them to join world class universities and thus achieve the requirements of Qatar’s institutions and the needs of the local labour market,” said Alsehani.
“At Qatar Leadership Academy, dreams projects, great limitless ambitions fly high in the sky to shape a bright future for its loyal cadets,” he added.
