HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud held separate meetings yesterday with the ambassadors of China and Pakistan, Li Chen and Syed Ahsan Raza Shah,(pictured below)  respectively.


During the meetings, bilateral relations and ways to develop them, particularly in the parliamentary, area were discussed. The meetings also reviewed topics of common interest. The Chinese and the Pakistani ambassadors praised the great success of the 140th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Doha in April under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Advisory Council, and the distinct arrangements and organisation which had a major impact in achieving this success. The meetings were attended by officials of the Advisory Council.
