Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has described the siege of Qatar as unfair and unjustified, and that it is an artificial crisis. He said Turkey rejects the policy of resorting to sanctions to resolve problems, expressing hope that the crisis would end as soon as possible, although it did not harm the Qatari economy.

In a press statement on the sidelines of his participation in the Doha Forum, HE the Turkish Foreign Minister said Qatar is working hard to diversify its economy and achieve self-sufficiency in many fields and has been very active on the regional and international arenas and that its economy continues to grow.

He said the Doha Forum is one of the most important international events, evidenced by the strong participation of the international community.

On the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Cavusoglu said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was committed to transparency in all the findings of the Turkish investigation.

He added that the Turkish side had not received any news from its Saudi counterpart regarding their investigations, and said Turkey will continue with the case until the truth is revealed.
