The opening of Qatar Motor Show (QMS) 2018 witnessed the regional debut of Mercedes CLS 53 AMG and GLE 450, as well as the unveiling of Mercedes S65 for the first time in the country, on Wednesday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. The new car models will be on display until October 21 at the luxurious pavillion of Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK) Automobiles, authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar.
“NBK Automobiles and Mercedes-Benz continue their distinguished and prominent presence at QMS, reflecting their values of luxury and excellence,” NBK Holding’s automotive operations director Sheikh Faleh bin Nawaf al-Thani said.

“Today we are the benchmark of the show with our biggest and luxury stand, display of side range of vehicles, and reveal of three top new cars that are icons in their segments,” he noted, as he reiterated NBK’s commitment to Qatar and its customers.
According to NBK, the new generation of the CLS sets the bar higher by matching the model’s distinctive shape and captivating appeal with enhanced comfort and technology features. During its introduction in 2004, the CLS introduced the four-door coupe segment with an iconic shape that reshaped cars for a new era. The CLS broke new ground by fusing the elegance and dynamism of a coupe with the comfort and functionality of a sedan.
The third generation seamlessly connects every unique element of the CLS and elevates it by setting new standards in design, safety and technology. The new CLS reasserts its credentials as a design icon as it becomes the first Mercedes-Benz model to fully embrace the design philosophy of sensual purity. The result: a timeless fusion of emotion, elegant beauty and exquisite comfort.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz’s premium SUV is distinguished with its dynamism and assertiveness, “encapsulating a distinctive view of the world.” “Imposing proportions and forceful, confident styling make the GLE a striking addition to the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The GLE features striking proportions and dramatic body style, ensuring the imposing nature of the GLE lives on,” NBK Automobiles said.
“The front section is particularly eye-catching with its dramatic air intakes, twin-louvre grille, and wraparound full LED headlamps. Power domes on the bonnet further stresses the car’s dynamic, purposeful character,” the company noted. NBK Automobiles said the perfection of the S-Class, blended with the exclusivity of the Maybach, makes the Maybach S-Class the luxurious and technological spearhead of Mercedes-Benz.
Some features which distinguish these vehicles include extra spaciousness and lavishly designed prestigious interiors, “offering extensive scope for individualisation.” The two-tone exterior paint finish is also a classic Mercedes-Maybach theme. In future, there will be nine different colour combinations available on request.
NBK Automobiles is also showcasing a range of cars that appeal to all styles and choices, including the SUVs, sporty and the luxury sedans at its pavillion, including the latest editions of A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, CLA and G-Class.
