Entertainment and rotating shows at various locations, particularly the Eid al-Adha celebrations at malls across Qatar, continue to draw and enthral huge crowds.

The 30-minute  roving performance, the ‘Qatar Traditional Dance’, at Dar Al Salam Mall delighted several holiday-goers, followed by The Princess and the Beast between 7pm and 7.45pm and another show between 9pm and 9.45pm.


Eid al-Adha activities at Mirqab Mall was a big draw for children.

“We have been benefiting from the increasing footfall due to these Eid al-Adha shows and activities organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA),” Dar Al Salam Mall operations manager Zahid Iqbal told Gulf Times yesterday.

The mall has been hosting various QTA-organised performances regularly, providing families and children with an array of entertainment offerings, he added.
Holiday-goers will have the chance to witness Peter Pan’s Adventure today between 3.30pm and 4pm and between 5.30pm and 6pm at the mall followed by The Princess and the Beast in two instalments.
Shows at Al Mirqab Mall have also got “an extremely positive response” from residents and visitors in the country, featuring an interactive Minions Live Show at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm.
“Eid al-Adha at Mirqab Mall is focusing on the family. We have also set up an activation area for young children and teens at the centre of the mall,” Rony Mourani, general manager of Al Mana Malls (which operates Mirqab Mall), told Gulf Times. “We are striving to be the prime destination for families in the heart of Doha.”
Mirqab Mall will be hosting Levitation Man tomorrow at 3pm and 5.30pm besides the Minions Live Show.
Other participating malls such as Doha Festival City (DHFC) are also attracting a large number of people with their entertainment offerings and activities for families.
DHFC’s staging of three Ben 10 Live shows, in partnership with Cartoon Network, continues to be a big hit among visitors of all ages.
Mall-goers also enjoy the various Ben 10 activities, featuring “a full experience with all the aliens from Heathblast to Four Armswith”, an allocated space for children’s arts and crafts sessions, and an augmented reality platform called the ‘Ben 10 Hero Experience AR Pod’, which will allow participants “to transform into one of the four signature aliens”.
The Roaming Robots will also be seen in action at DHFC at 2.30pm and 5pm today besides the three Ben 10 shows in the Activity Area.
Residents have also been visiting Lagoona Mall, Hyatt Plaza, B Square Mall, Gulf Mall, Landmark Mall, Al Khor Mall and Mall of Qatar, as well as Katara – the Cultural Village, Summer Entertainment City at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, and Souq Waqif,  to watch Eid shows and take part in a number of fun-filled activities.
