Mist cooling, a common concept in many European cities and elsewhere during summer, is ideal to beat the heat in Qatar too, some residents feel.

"Installing mist cooling systems could further boost the tourism potential of areas such as Souq Waqif, Katara, Doha Corniche and Museum of Islamic Art Park," observed a resident who recently toured some European countries.
Mist cooling systems spray billions of tiny water droplets from their nozzles and help keep the surrounding air cool. People can get into this misty area and become refreshed after a long tiring walk or an outdoor workout session.
In addition to the cooling aspect, misting can also be an attraction for children.
“Water mist facility is so refreshing that we enjoyed it very much during our recent travel. We had to walk through some of the cities for a long time and it was a great experience to cool off in the water mist. Moreover you don't get too much wet while you are inside the mist,” said a resident.
"The mist cooling system sprays fine water particles at preset intervals. Once it is operational, a big burst of mist envelops a whole area. This is very interesting,” added another resident.
"With Qatar getting ready for the FIFA 2022 World Cup, it is quite expected that the number of tourists to the country is going to go up multi-fold. This facility can be an added attraction and refreshing experience for the visitors,” he pointed out.
