Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced Thursday that Sunday, March 4, will be an official holiday for all banks and financial institutions under its supervision.
In a statement issued on Thursday, QCB said that the closure of banks, money exchanges, investment and finance companies, insurance firms and insurance brokering companies to the public on this day comes in accordance with the cabinet's decision No. 33 of 2009 considering the first Sunday of March every year an official holiday for all banks and financial institutions operating under Qatar Central Bank.
According to the statement, these institutions are scheduled to open to the public on Monday, March 5.
