Shop Qatar is all set to launch its ‘International Week’ theme from January 21 to 27, featuring the ‘International Fashion Show,’ Chainsmokers concert and numerous workshops, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has announced.
The event will also highlight its third raffle draw with at least 13 cash prizes ranging from QR10,000 to QR100,000 and two BMW cars at stake on January 25 at Tawar Mall. 
According to QTA, shoppers can enter the raffle draw for every QR200 spent at any of the participating retailers or restaurants. Coupons are given at dedicated stalls set up at 13 malls across Qatar.
Meanwhile, the final draw will take place at Shop Qatar’s closing ceremony at Doha Festival City (DHFC) on February 8 and will feature a special performance by Lebanese singer Ramy Ayach.
On the same day, the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre will welcome a large number of Chainsmokers fans for their much-anticipated concert from 7.30pm.
On January 24, celebrity designers from various countries will showcase their unique collections at the International Fashion Show at Mondrian Doha. These include Fouad Sarkis, Maria B, Alejandro Resta (Spain), Imran Rajput, Thaher Baqer, and Imran Abbas (celebrity appearance).
The Bollywood Fashion Show on Wednesday saw renowned Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor walking the ramp with distinctive outfits by Indian celebrity designers.
The International Week will also feature a masterclass by renowned fashion designer Alejandro Resta at Ritz Carlton Doha on January 21 while a Malaysian kite-flying pop-up shop takes place at Lagoona Mall.
Other activities attractions and workshops will include Russian doll-making and wood carving on January 22; DHFC Box Park Concept and basket weaving (City Center Mall) on January 23; and walk-in wardrobe and beauty lounges (DHFC) on January 24.
The Week will also feature an exclusive show dubbed as ‘Fashion through history’ at Lagoona Mall; Russian ribbon embroidery and a Filipino Parade at Gulf Mall on January 26. It concludes with a masterclass by renowned make up artist Joyce Bonelli on January 27 at Ritz Carlton Doha.
Qatar’s biggest shopping festival encourages residents to avail special offers and discounts of up to 50% on a range of consumer goods such as clothes, electronics, cosmetics and accessories for men, women and children, among other products.
The participating malls are Al Khor Mall, City Center, Doha Festival City, Gulf Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Lagoona Mall, Landmark Mall, Mall of Qatar, Tawar Mall, The Gate Mall, Villaggio, Ezdan Mall and Dar Al Salam Mall.
