A delegation of French companies specialising in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector has arrived to explore business opportunities with Qatari partners.
French ambassador Eric Chevallier told a press conference yesterday that Biogaran, Logo Silver, Medasys, and Visiomed Group are among the leading companies in France seeking Qatari partners in the healthcare sector covering pharmaceutical products, medical electronic devices, e-Health system, and innovative mobility solution for disabled people.
Chevallier said: “France is known for its world-class healthcare system, and is playing a leading role as a pioneer in the medical field. The French healthcare delegation reflects our keen desire to contribute to the development of the healthcare system in Qatar.”
The French companies have been selected to meet the needs of Qatar, underlined in the National Health Strategy (NHS) 2017-2022, in order to offer citizens and residents a comprehensive world-class healthcare system, accessible to the whole population, with a focus on preventive healthcare, according to Business France.
Business France is the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy.
Qatar’s imports of medical and pharmaceutical products reached $763mn in 2016. France is the fifth healthcare supplier to Qatar, Business France said.
Biogaran is France’s top brand of generic medicines, while Logo Silver “is the only manufacturer” of ‘Made in France’ innovative electric power wheelchair and mobility solution globally.” ‘Topchair’ and ‘Outchair’ are two of Logo Silver’s latest innovations that are showcased for the first time in Qatar.
Medasys is the French leading software developer for integrated medical guidance, while Visiomed Group is the French leader in advanced generation of electronic medical devices.
