The Summer Entertainment City (SEC), centrepiece of QSF and a family favourite, will host a mega concert featuring popular Filipino artistes Gloc9 and Jona Viray on September 2 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
SEC will also continue its “active and interactive” activities and shows to give visitors a diverse range of entertainment offerings during the concluding part of the festival.

“The activities added to QSF for Eid al-Adha are set to double the joy for Qatar residents and visitors, and end the country’s longest running festival on a high note,” QTA’s public relations and communications director Saif al-Kuwari said in a statement.
He stressed that the summer activities form a key part of their efforts to diversify tourism products and visitor source markets, as well as “energising the retail and hospitality sectors through a varied and rich events calendar.”
The Eid al-Adha celebrations in Qatar will also feature theatre plays, summer edition of the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, and the much-anticipated Doha Comedy Festival, among others.
One of the QSF highlights includes a mega raffle draw on September 5, which gives shoppers a chance to win cash prizes (QR100,000, QR50,000 or QR 20,000 each of the eight winners) and a “2017-model super luxury car.” Participating malls (Dar Al Salam, Ezdan Mall, Gate Mall, Gulf Mall, Mall of Qatar, Lagoona, and Landmark) will continue offering promos and discounts up to 50%.
Meanwhile, exhibition and fashion enthusiasts will have the chance to see some of the popular fashion names at Heya – the Summer Edition, scheduled between tomorrow and September 5.
