The country's outdoor attractions have drawn huge crowds over the first three days of the Eid al-Fitr holidays.

While malls and cultural and entertainment centres continued to be big draws, visitors also thronged beaches, parks and other open spaces in large numbers, spending some quality time with friends and family.

From Sealine beach in Mesaieed to the Doha Corniche and from Al Khor Park to Aspire Zone - outdoor venues remained crowded on all three days.

Al Khor Park has been one of the favourite destinations this year, especially for families looking for some outdoor fun. Several large groups of people in buses were seen reaching the venue and engaging in different activities. The revamped park provided a number of options for all, including children and women.

There was a huge rush at Sealine as well, with people arriving there in small and big groups to make the most of the holidays. Long queues of vehicles could be seen heading to the place, carrying hundreds of revellers. While many of them chose dune bashing and quad bike rides, others stepped into the water at the beach to have a nice cool dip.

Social media has been abuzz with videos and photographs of people spending their time with friends and family at these locations during the holidays. One video of the Sealine beach, which has been a big hit and lasts for about two and a half minutes, shows a long queue of vehicles passing through the area - highlighting the popularity of the venue. The Al Wakrah beach, too, saw big crowds turning up.

While the outdoor venues saw the crowds swell in the evenings when the temperature dipped, many people braved the heat and spent time at these places during the daytime as well, it was found.

In Doha, crowd favourites such as Aspire Park and the Corniche continued to be hugely popular among visitors, in addition to the parks spread over the city.

The Katara Esplanade, too, has been attracting big crowds as the Cultural Village has lined up a host of Eid festivities. One of the highlights is the daily fireworks display.

While Souq Waqif has a huge tent for Eid activities, many people are also spending time in the outdoor area as they enjoy some authentic Arabic food and beverages.
