The launch of Ferrari’s brand new 812 Superfast at Alfardan Sports Motors’ exclusive pavilion yesterday marked a glittering start for the five-day Qatar Motor Show (QMS) 2017.
Alfardan Sports Motors, the official dealer of Ferrari in Qatar, noted that it is committed to bringing Ferrari’s Italian heritage to the forefront with the unveiling of 812 Superfast at the show.
“The brand itself is very strong and attractive. Ferrari is always a people’s dream and for those who appreciate technology,” Charley Dagher, general manager of Ferrari at Alfardan Sports Motors, told Gulf Times.
True to its name, the 812 Superfast is the fastest road-going Ferrari ever built with a 6.5-litre V12 engine.
The 812 Superfast achieves its maximum power output at 8,500rpm with a maximum speed of 340km/h, springing from 0-100 in 2.9 seconds.
“It is a significant model in Ferrari history and it is not just the fastest, but also the most powerful production car up to date,” Dagher stressed.
“We are eager to demonstrate Ferrari’s superior technological advancements and impeccable craftsmanship that make the brand a leader in the luxury sports car segment,” he added.
The stunning model is a benchmark in the mid-front-engine sports car segment, pushing the boundaries of speed and performance like never before.
Designed as the flagship V12 Berlinetta, the model embodies Ferrari’s revered V12 heritage that sprung to life in 1947, with the birth of the brand.
The new Ferrari model’s timely world premiere at Geneva Motor Show, followed by QMS 2017, coincides with Ferrari’s 70th anniversary celebrations this year.
“Ferrari is building on its recognition as the only manufacturer to have continuously produced sports cars with 12-cylinder engines throughout that time,” Dagher noted.
The 812 Superfast further impresses with its trendy silhouette and a radically redesigned cabin that reveals its sportier DNA.
In addition, Dagher said 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari to feature electric power steering, which when integrated with all of the electronic vehicle dynamics controls can fully exploit the performance of the car.
The vehicle also sees the debut of the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system that improves the agility and response time to steering wheel inputs.
“We are extremely thrilled to be part of QMS. This is an incredible opportunity to connect with fast car aficionados, and offer them a unique perspective of the Ferrari world,” Dagher added.
