Three new Mercedes-Benz models – the E Coupe, AMG E 43, and AMG SLC 43 – have been unveiled at the opening of Qatar Motor Show 2017 yesterday, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
The new models are showcased at the Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK) Automobiles pavilion, ‘the largest’ at the event. NBK is the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar.
“NBK Automobiles continues its strong and effective participation at QMS, reflecting our values of luxury and excellence. Our participation at the show reiterates NBK’s industry leading position and our commitment to our customers,” NBK Automobiles general manager Khalid Sha’aban said. He noted that the E Class Coupe’s clear and sensual design, and long-distance comfort for four people combine beauty and classic virtues of a grand tourer with state-of-the-art technology.
“As a member of the current E-Class family, the new Coupé is significantly more intelligent than its predecessor. It comes with all the features of the E-Class, the most intelligent executive saloon,” Sha’aban said. “It has a sporty, luxurious interior with refined details, and embodies the synthesis of sporty emotion and luxurious intelligence.”
The looks of the AMG E 43 can be easily recognised as part of the AMG family, according to Sha’aban. Its V6 bi-turbo engine boasts a high power output combined with low fuel consumption and emissions.
The high power output of 295 kW (401hp) is attributable, among other things, to new, larger turbochargers and the higher charge-air pressure of 1.1 bar. Its interior design is sporty with model-specific details.
Meanwhile, the model celebrated its 20-year anniversary in its relaunching last year under a new name – SLK to SLC – with a significantly optimised technology and enhanced look. The sporty range model comes with 270 kW (367hp).
At the show, running until April 22, NBK Automobiles also displays a wide range of Mercedes-Benz models from different segments that appeal to all styles and choices, including the SUVs, sporty cars and the luxury series.
