It was followed by gym tours and mini group fitness classes for guests. The new fitness facility will be open to the public (grand opening) on April 8 from 10am to 6pm for an exclusive visit and tour to help familiarise people with the state-of-the-art facility. “Our family has always been known for bringing innovations to the country. The leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has further helped conglomerates like us to provide the best environment for our residents to thrive in,” Gymmito owner Fardan Fahad Hussain Alfardan said.
The Alfardan Group has always been synonymous with luxury and unique lifestyle products and services, and the new fitness facility has added yet another feather to its cap.
In a statement, Gymmito noted that it entered the country at a time when the citizens are moving towards a fitter and healthier future. “The steady growth in the wellness market has driven fitness centres to vie for the top position by offering the most talented trainers from across the globe alongside state-of-the-art exercise machines to ensure a complete body workout,” it added.
Speaking to Gulf Times, Gymmito general manager Dave Jones noted that they have more than 200 members prior to their opening on Saturday.
“Gymmito is an Alfardan Group venture aimed towards fitness and health. It is accessible, affordable and a great place for community members to get to know each other,” he said. “What makes it special? It is the people. You can run on a treadmill anywhere in the world, that does not make it special, what makes it special is the experience you share with others,” Jones stressed.
According to Jones, Alfardan has been in the news for the last 60 years as one of the leading family companies, bringing exclusive products and services to the country. He said Gymmito is ready to establish strong examples and fitness standards by building awareness about the importance of physical exercise in today’s fast moving life.
The gym features an array of fitness machines such as the Milon Circuit, cardiovascular equipment, and free-weights for resistance training. It also holds more than 150 group classes, including yoga, pilates and tai-chi inspired ones. “It is not only about the facilities, but also the education for people to stay and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. This is not just a three month weight loss programme, instead it will become a life changer where fitness will become a part of their life,” Jones pointed out.
Fitness enthusiasts who have been using the facility already have given Gymmito a five-star rating for of its high-end equipment, welcoming staff, variety of classes and excellent fitness instructors. With personal trainers, the workout routines can also be customised to individual needs, which make it even more attractive.
In addition, Gymmito offers a host of membership options for individuals, couples and ladies that can help every fitness goal and pocket.
