Turkish Airlines has hosted the first Turkish Airlines Corporate Night in Doha to thank its corporate clientele.
The clients were honoured for their “trust in the airline and support of the Turkish Corporate Club Programme, which has contributed to the airline’s growth in the country”, the carrier said in a statement yesterday.
The Turkish Corporate Club Programme is a corporate travel programme that allows travellers of the airline to save on all business travel expenses. “It offers a wide variety of cost-effective advantages for corporations looking to meet their needs quickly and easily,” the statement notes.
Mehmed Kursad Caymaz, country manager (Qatar) at Turkish Airlines, said: “Our Turkish Corporate Club Programme has been popular with our customers in Qatar and we have really seen it gain traction this year. This event is just one of many such occasions that we have planned for our corporate clients in the days ahead. We are delighted by the support they have given us, so this is just our way of showing our appreciation.”
To celebrate the occasion, Turkish Airlines hosted an evening of awards, food and entertainment. The evening also recognised the airline’s patrons for their contribution to driving not only growth in passenger traffic from the country, but also to the overall passenger growth in the GCC markets as compared to the previous year.

Growing figures

During the period between January and September 2015, Turkish Airlines’ capacity in Qatar, in terms of available seat kilometres, grew by 3.8%, as compared to the same period in 2014. The number of passengers carried increased by 4.6% to about 100,000. Business/comfort class passengers increased by 24.5% for the same period and load factors also improved, the airline noted in a statement.
