The 10th Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, S’hail 2026, concluded over the weekend, drawing large crowds to a varied programme of events, displays and specialist exhibits.

S’hail 2026 Supreme Organising Committee member Khalifa bin Sultan al-Humaidi said that the auction stands apart as the only event dedicated to exceptionally rare falcons, excluding hybrids.
This distinction, he said, has secured it a special place among falconers and enthusiasts in Qatar and across the Gulf, while giving collectors access to outstanding specimens in one setting.
Now in its 10th edition, the auction continues to expand each year, reflecting sustained demand for rare birds and the strength of the community built around their breeding, care and appreciation.
Al-Humaidi said that this year’s auction features 43 falcons, with every bird assessed by a specialist committee for its appearance and distinctive qualities before the finest are selected for daily bidding.
The careful screening process helps maintain the auction’s high standards and ensures that the birds presented meet the expectations of experienced buyers.
Final prices depend on demand and the intensity of competition, particularly when an exceptional falcon attracts several bidders.
Al-Humaidi added that the auction has become a leading destination for rare and beautiful falcons, drawing breeders and falconers keen to view an elite selection gathered in one venue.
