As Qatar’s entrepreneurship landscape continues to mature, community platforms in Doha are turning their attention towards founder well-being as a critical driver of business resilience and long-term ecosystem growth.
A healthier founder community ultimately contributes to a stronger and more sustainable startup ecosystem, according to Indica Amarasinghe, chapter director at Startup Grind Doha.
Recognising the physical and mental demands associated with building and scaling enterprises, Amarasinghe noted that entrepreneurial networks are broadening their support structures to address founder health alongside traditional pillars like capital access, mentorship, and networking.
“Building a startup can be incredibly demanding, and founders often prioritise everything around the business before prioritising themselves. Through partnerships such as this, we want Startup Grind Doha to provide value to our members not only professionally, but also personally. A healthier founder community ultimately contributes to a stronger and more sustainable startup ecosystem,” Amarasinghe stated.
To address these demands, Amarasinghe announced that Startup Grind Doha has established a collaboration with Diet Delights Nutrition Centre and The Wellness Lab.
He pointed out that the initiative provides startup founders, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem members in Qatar with structured access to health and wellness resources designed to help them manage personal well-being alongside operational responsibilities.
Under the framework, Amarasinghe explained that Diet Delights Nutrition Centre provides expertise in clinical nutrition, personalised nutrition programmes, healthy meal solutions, and lifestyle management, while The Wellness Lab offers services spanning overall wellness, weight management, and dermatology.
Entrepreneurs spend a significant amount of time and energy building businesses, often at the expense of their personal health and lifestyle support, noted Senthuran, founder of Diet Delights Nutrition Centre and The Wellness Lab.
“Entrepreneurs spend so much of their time and energy building businesses that their own health and wellbeing can often take a back seat. Through this partnership with Startup Grind Doha, we want to make it easier for founders and members of the startup community to access the nutrition, wellness and lifestyle support they need.
“We are delighted to be part of an initiative that places the wellbeing of founders alongside the growth of their businesses and contributes to building a healthier, more resilient entrepreneurial community in Qatar,” Senthuran said.
Amarasinghe said the initiative aligns with Startup Grind Doha’s broader evolution as a community platform connecting local entrepreneurs with operational resources, services, and strategic partnerships.
As part of its long-term roadmap, he added that the organisation is preparing to launch a dedicated platform featuring over 50 service providers across more than 20 categories to expand its resource portfolio for members in Qatar.
